Just switched after first run wake button didn't work. Powered off and on the compiler recompiled 26 apps. I saw on xda mobile forum that it recompiles on reboot.

I'm not messing with it. The phone seems to be running very snappy so I see no need for now :).

I switched. It's OK. Not a huge difference.

It's only a preview option on 4.4.4 it will be the default option on 5.0.0

I switched back to dalvick. Always recompiled on reboot. Most likely bloat ware from att.

Re: art runtime on ATT

ART has been around a while, Samsung removed it in 4.0, until 4.4.4. It ran well on several Samsung phones I have owned. Not good on my Note 4. First switch took about 10 minutes to boot and then had to compile 400+ apps. Found some would not launch, decided to reboot, had to compile 96 apps, then rebooted again, had to compile 96 apps again. Did this about 3 more times. same results (what did Einstein say about doing the same thing expecting different results?) gave up and went back. Hope they resolve it before 5.0 as ART is the only choice then. While Samsung is not the fastest with new versions of OS, and while the carriers then take their sweet time approving it, I predict a long wait for 5.0 on this device (hoping for soon, but predicting long).
