Note 5 Battery life thread

Samsung has a new update. I'm not sure when will it arrive on other release because mine is the international release with dual sim slots.


It says something about battery life improvements

In general you should avoid getting much below 40. There's a large post on AC explaining the details about why not to always drain it so low

Well that actually isn't true. That might be happening for you, but without your info, no one knows why. It doesn't happen for others.

OK that was clearly my experience with an unlocked sm-n920g (Korean international) on MetroPCS (tmobile network). That phone was defective. I sent that phone in, got a refund, and now have a unlocked sm-n920t (usa tmobile).
I'll have to get back to ya'll when my battery is low.

I have been getting terrible standby drain at night. There should be no reason for battery drain at night because I'm asleep and so is the phone. Note the steep slope from about 2 AM onwards. Is there any fix for this? Google play did not do any app update last night

Same here. I had my 31% last night and it dropped to 14%. When I fully charge my battery I get 12 hrs remaining in battery usage estimate.

I tried a factory reset and nothing fixed the drain.

I tried a factory reset and nothing fixed the drain.

When you did the factory reset did you install any apps after? Like gsam.

I can tell you this adguard is a battery drain killer that i know for sure.
