Note 5 Battery life thread

...that's the weird thing; "screen" isn't a choice.

PS: weird, sometimes my images show up twice...

I should have mentioned, I've been there, done that. Rather odd really.
And, its not like I've installed weird widgets, etc.

That's odd. Did you just reboot it do the hard reset (holding down power and volume DOWN) until it reboots? That is like a battery pull in old Samsungs.

It should show up when you charge again. Also, when something isn't working right, there is always the cache wipe, it can fix many issues.

...well, during the night. And so far today, I've been just checking 'lite' stuff, and taking screen shots ;)

Just keep using it normal, it will appears eventually. That's a weird "glitch" I've seen in all my S6 (S6, S6 edge and S6 Active) and now it seems that it was passed to the Note 5 and I'm sure to the S6 edge+.

Not a bad run.

**Edit**. I'll add that I have a business Gmail account synced and another email fetching every 15 min. I usually have about 20 or so emails a day. I browse alot and use Instagram and twitter a good amount. I don't game.

My Verizon Note 5 tends to be at about 10% higher throughout the day than my s6 edge. Its marginally better. I can end the day with about 7% vs before I would have to charge at some point thoughout the day. If you need a phone that has a really good battery I would suggest looking elsewhere. The 200-300 maH lost from the Note 4 seems to have made a difference. I never had to worry about battery with my Old Note 4.

When you aren't testing the battery life on your phone, do you tend to top it off whenever possible?

I find that I during the working day, I am either at my desk or in my car...in both situations I can keep it plugged in... I am not sure what that does to the battery life... Charging in this manner keeps the battery level between 95% and 100% back and forth all day... Weekends (and unusual business days) are different...

Today, I am testing my battery life, so even in the car with Waze and Google Play Music streaming to work, I kept it off the cord... But that's very unusual...I would never do that in normal practice...

I generally don't plug it in until I need to. Now of course, there are times I am planning to go somewhere and I'll go ahead and charge when I don't need to.

Anyone know what this SVF app is? Did a Google search and couldn't find anything on it. I disabled it. See if anything happens to my phone...

I've been running the ShutApp and then added Doze and this is what I have after that.

Changing "Turn off pen detection" to "off" (as pictured) really helped my battery life, an I can't tell the difference in functionality.

So How does it compares with previous day with just ShutApp?

The problem is that with Doze's update yesterday some things were changed that affects the way it handles the blocked connections (according to what I was told) so it may be possible that it works even better now, what I'm saying is don't uninstall it just yet if you don't really like it and give it one more full charge cycle and see, then you'll have more data to compare and get to your conclusions.
