I have been looking for a glass protection for my note 5 and I have been looking at brands other than zagg. I like zagg because of the replacement guarantee and that they have the tabs on the glass for easy installation. I have installed a couple zagg and they are easy to along and keep air bubbles out of.

I had a ZAGG tempered Glass screen protector installed on my N5 today. There is a ZAGG kiosk locally and they install so I did not have to deal with it. No halo and perfect fit.

Also had an Original ZAGG applied to the back . I do not use a case.

Posted for my Galaxy Note 5 with a properly inserted S Pen!

I have an Iloome 8H on my Note 4, am going to get the 9H for the Note 5. Also, I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid on the N4, already ordered the same for the N5.

Just received this one yesterday. I'm going to install in a few.

Just installed a JetTech glass protector. I am very picky about installation of protectors and I always get them perfect - sometimes with extensive use of double-sided tape to fix any tiny particles. This one lined-up perfectly first time, absolutely no dust underneath.

This protector has the halo issue, even when meticulously installed. Since other brands don't halo, and we are all working on the same shaped display, am I to assume that the non-halo protectors are cut a tad smaller? Or they have better adhesive to hold the protector to the surface as it begins to curve at it's edge?

Just wondering...

I FINALLY got my Supershieldz Friday afternoon- they showed up in stock last Friday at Supershieldz- I ordered through Amazon.
I cleaned up and applied- my first time working w tempered glass. had a bubble in middle- and much as I tried to force to side- it wasn't gonna happen. However by this morning- it disappeared. I just have a couple of pinhole bubbles elsewhere.

Anyway- I am not too happy with it- because of its size. Its actually a hair narrow, and not only does it not cover the full glass- it does not cover the full DISPLAY. I centered it really well- as it has the same width of no coverage on either side. You can look at it from overhead- and see additional display wider than the coverage.

I've been reading online comments and I've heard that the reason these glass screen protectors cannot go edge to edge on the Note 5 is because the screen is curved on the very edges? It it's supposed to be very little, I looked I can't see it but then again I'm blind.

I'm using the Zagg tempered glass on my Note 5 that I picked up at Verizon the day I got it. It's been great!

Thanks Dude.
On close inspection of the packaging, it shows that this protector has the same margin from the edge all the way around the protector. On mine, there's plenty of margin top/bottom, but the sides are cut closer to the edge/curve, hence the halo.

Can you take a look at yours and let us know?

I actually look mine off. It was about as wide as the display and came up short top and bottom which is why there was no halo. The curved screen requires a glass screen protector that is much smaller than the screen. Which is why I went back to a plastic one. It covers almost the entire screen with no halo.

Thanks!

My personal take as of now is that tempered glass protectors will have halo, for most people, even if perfectly installed. I say this b/c every time I see a poster say "no halo on THIS protector!", I look up the product on Amazon and too many people are complaining about halo. I can't find any consensus whatsoever on these products. I am now planning on getting an old school film protector that won't have an issue with the curve on the display edges.

With my current glass protector, JETech, there's 100% halo on left and right sides. It not only looks bad, but since the glass is standing up off the display, it makes that edge unresponsive to finger/stylus touch. So it's not just ugly, it's annoying.

I just installed JETech glass screen protector yesterday and no halo at all, guess I got lucky!!
