Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Thanks to this thread I'm considering trading my 64GB 6 Plus for a Note 5 and using my iPad Air 2 for all the iOS ecosystem stuff that I have around the house now.
Thanks to this thread I'm now more confused than ever!

Re: Iphone 6s plus is calling me

Yes, I know the feeling. That's why I have a 6s+ and a note 5. I will switch back to the iPhone when the urge hits. I've only
had the note for a little over two weeks, so it will be awhile before I use the iPhone. I know if I go on a trip I will switch to
the iPhone 6s+ because the battery last much longer than the note 5.

Re: Iphone 6s plus is calling me

I switched from the 6 plus to a Note 5 and then scooped up a 6s plus on a impulse because I felt I was missing on the cool factor and I sold that and kept my Note 5. When it came down to it I'm burnt out on the walled garden and lack of customization and freedom. The camera is better on my Note and while I don't use the S-Pen frequently but I find its outstanding piece of equipment when I need it. I love this thing more everyday and could not switch back to ios.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I'm getting irritated with myself because I keep switching back and forth between the two platforms. I just want to make a decision already and stick with it. Had the iPhone 6S on launch weekend. Nothing wrong with it. Really enjoyed it actually. And it complemented my iPad Air 2 perfectly. But yesterday was day 13 of my 14 day return window and I panicked. Went out and exchanged it for the Note 5. Bought a case, screen protector, and wireless charger. So, I'm all in. Haven't touched my beloved iPad since. Now here is the problem. When I use the note, I don't want to use any complementary devices. After a while, I miss my iPad and I want to switch back, but I need the iPhone to go with it. I have been doing this for years. And it's making me feel quite ridiculous. But I can't choose. And I don't know why.

I did the same thing yesterday. ..6s to Note 5...staying with android and my windows phone this time.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I want to switch to an iPhone almost everyday. As an American college student, if you dont have an iPhone everyone judges you immediately. The iPhone is nice. I like it especially once its jailbroken because it essentially can do almost everything my android can do. However, I still like my android. But like I said... the pressure on me to get an iphone by all of my friends is extremely strong. They hate seeing green messages and apparently I make all the group messages buggy/slow. iMessage truly is better than most android messaging apps with an exception in customization. I have a macbook, an iPad, and an iMac. I love all of them and being able to text from them is cool. And while Google Hangouts is better than FaceTime in the grand scheme of things. Most people dont use Hangouts...

Basically I want my Note with iMessage and FaceTime, which I feel like could be an actual possibility if Apple werent so damn selfish lol. We share so many google apps with them. They can share one app with us. Dammit

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

It's really an iOS vs Android thing. Haven't been able to make up my mind for years!

I know the feeling. But, I can say this, it is liberating when you do finally make a choice. Don't get me wrong, I still am interested in other smartphones, especially the iPhone, but I'm happy with my current choice and see no real benefit to switching. I am actually looking forward to walking into T-mobile next August or September and trading in my Note 5 for a Note 6. That's my goal. Actually, now is a great season for all of the smartphone addicted to make a New Year's resolution to not switch devices, to not buy unecessary accessories, to not switch carriers just because, and just be content with your current tech situation, and finally kick your addiction. Who's with me!?!?

Do people tell you that they don't like your green messages? Just curious. Agree that iMessage works well among iOS/OS X devices.

I think I'm gonna need a support group for this....but I'm in! Currently with the Note 5. But not gonna lie, the 6p looks pretty. And the iPhone want is always there....until I spend a day with it then I'm like eh.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I would like to try the Droid Turbo 2 since I'm on Verizon. But in all honesty, it seems overpriced.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

So having a Droid Turbo, is there any reason to get a Nexus 6?

I think we can encourage each other. We keep checking into the thread. I know it sounds goofy, but I really need motivation. Because I know myself and this Note 5 high that I have will only last so long. And when it wears off, I'm in trouble.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Just got back to the house getting rid of my 6 Plus for a Nexus 6P. Now, I'm going in to radio silence from tech sites and moving on with using google as my phone and iOS as my tablet to control the iOS ecosystem set up in my house. Using Chrome on my iPad helps with that as well

Yeah, I need a support group. I probably should stay with my bread and butter - Android. But every time I see someone using an iPhone I think to myself: "self, that looks like the phone you should be using." Then I go out of my way to get one and I get to the point within a couple of days with them, like you, where I'm thinking "eh, this isn't that great."
