Note 8 battery life ?

Other big factors often rarely stated in these threads are display BRIGHTNESS, and network signal strength (or being on Wifi). Other than runaway apps usually these are the 2 biggest factors in battery life.

I wonder how bright or dim these screens are on average for these long SOT cases. If "auto-brightness" is on, then I wonder how dim the normal environment is (i.e with Auto brightness on you won't get the same SOT outside in the sun as you would inside in a dimmer room under the same other conditions.). There are lots of factors at play of course , but with just about all of my past phones brightness and signal made more of a difference than any other factor.

See and I always keep mine low on screen brightness but this phone just alone seems li ke it has so much glare all the time that you have to have the screen brightness up pretty high just to see the screen while out side working

With my s8+ I average around 5 hours sot and that's after 16 hours or so off the charger. I usually listen to BT music for a couple hours a day. On my days off and I'm home on WiFi I can usually get well over 5 hours sot. I'm just hoping for similar battery life with my n8 when I get it. My main goal is getting through a 16 hour day without charging. So far Samsung hasn't let me down with the s8+, n7 and n5.

I've been able to go from 8am to around afternoon (8pm) and have a 40 percent battery remaining. I wstched multiple videos.

If the Note 8 has similar antenna setup as the Note 7, it might have similar weak reception. That was the one lone fault of the two Note 7s I had. Significant fault though.
