note 8 or regular s9

Welcome to Android Central! It would also depend on what you are looking for in a device: do you want a phablet with a stylus or are you content with the somewhat-smaller look of the S9? And there is also a form factor difference. Personally, I love the look and operation of the S9.

i feel the note 8 is old now what you think? also i like the big screen but it's too big, some people said go to the note 8 because of the 6 ram... but i like the stereo speakers and the Dolby atoms also the new processor... what phone will hold more than 4 years? note 8 or regular s9?

The Note 8 is still relatively new - it was only released in September 2017 - so I think it's still a good device to get!

If you are truly interested in a newer processor, however, and like the idea of the S9; then go for it! My boyfriend's brother has the lavender S9 and it's not only a beautiful phone but has a lot of power to it performance-wise.

As far as longevity, both phones will hold up with long-term use. Even the previous processor will still give good battery life; and both will receive software updates. However, since the S9 is newer, you'll be looking at a longer period of time for software updates. But both phones will last, even if they stop getting the regular software updates (which typically stop happening atter around two years of being out in the market).

Long story short: both phones are great and should hold up well, as long as you treat them with care. :)
