Ok. After sending 20 or 30 messages to Samsung support I've done everything they've suggested. Twice. Maybe 3 times. Suddenly, the strobing effect is gone. That seems to have flown away somehow.
But when I click on "See the latest updates" on the main screen, that page opens all right with the message "Couldn't connect to the service. Try again later" still appearing across the bottom.
I sent another message asking with system dumps, more screen recordings and images and I got the same response as usual.
"Thank you for submitting the error report. We apologize for the inconvenience this issue may have caused you. We have raised this issue to our Developers for further evaluation. We will get back to you as soon as an update becomes available."
Sigh.
