"Note to Self" on Watch not working. Does it work for you? How do I set default?

I got an LG G watch - loving it so far but the "Note to self" no longer works. At first it worked using Google keep but I dont use Keep. I just use Google tasks, woith the GTasks app, but I dont think that supports wear. Now I'm trying other like Ticktick that do, but I cannot get any app to work with my LG G watch.

Can anyone please tell me how to get this working?

When you go into the wear app on your phone, there are a list of apps and if you click on one, you can set the default app. For "take a note," what is it set to? I think that is the setting for 'note to self'

Not all apps will support Android Wear, but as mentioned above, in the Android Wear app select "take a note" and you will see a list of compatible apps.
