This technology will only get better with time. It's already pretty good. Not perfect but pretty good.I can report with certainty that for me the FPS update, while possibly fixing the security issue, did absolutely nothing for the speed or accuracy of detection. Still mostly OK, sometimes maddeningly bad. My first and last phone with on-screen FPS unless some serious magic happens for Note 11.
Was working great. I installed a Whitestone Dome screen protector and now the fingerprint sensor is almost unusable.
I have something important to add:
With the advent of dry winter weather, my thumbs, in particular, developed cracking and this caused them to stop working completely with the FPS until I re-registered them. Even then, I have to press down firmly to get them to work, unlike my index fingers, which are relatively free of cracks and work with very gentle contact on the screen.
Attached is a picture of one of my thumbs.
I'm on At&T and not received update for this only monthly Oct. Update
Go to Walley World
Get a bottle of Corn Huskers hand lotion.
Use it when you go to sleep.
It will help with cracked dry hands.
Dont get in all over your phone.
And you know this how? At&t likes to check software longer to make sure there are no bugs in it before they release it.
And have customers that are unhappy.
