Nova Launcher and battery life

I recently installed both Nova and Dodol launchers. Currently I'm using Nova, but I've noticed since I started using it my battery life is much shorter. It's my first time using a 3rd party launcher, and I haven't downloaded any other apps recently. Can using Nova decrease battery life?

I have used Nova for a good long time and have not noticed it using anymore battery than another launcher.
Any indications on the Battery info in Settings?

HTC One M9. I just took it off the charger, so no real info. Just noticed the past few days doing my usual stuff seems to drain the battery faster. The only difference I remember is downloading Nova.

Never shows up in my phone battery stats and just checked on GSM Monitor and its used 0.1% in the past 13 hours (Moto G 1st Gen, LL 5.0.2), so may well be something else.

I use nova launcher on my Sony Xperia Z it's not damage battery life.

I was thinking I also cleared my cache around the same time. Wonder if maybe it didn't wipe properly. Maybe I should do that again and see if that helps.
