November Security Update (Also Saturation/Nav Bar Fade Update)

I ended up sideloading the OTA. I have stayed on now but am having trouble choosing between saturated and boosted. I kind of wish there was an in-between option.

Small camera update just showed up allows you to mute shutter sound

Still mashing that check for update button...! No update yet. First time I've ever had to wait this late in the month for an update. Google store Pixel 2 on Verizon.

Ah.... but it will feel so good when you do, LOL. I just got mine late on the 16th. Looks like they're started to flow now.

Got my P2 unlocked from Google 4 days ago. Still running 8.0.0 with 9.5.2017 security patch though I check daily for updates. VZW.

maybe
it should be called "oversaturated" mode. anything close to the note 8's saturated levels would be over the top for me. still in waiting mode for the update here. I certainly hope future updates are released in a more timely manner.

Heh, I took one look at it, and just wasn't my style. If I want oversaturated, I'll look at my wife's Note 8. :p
Haha right. I stayed away from Samsung devices because of the screens. But I wanted to see what everyone else considers the standard.

Finally got the update yesterday tested boosted and saturated. Decided to leave it at Natural setting. Did not notice any of the other small changes they made. Apparently a lot of bluetooth fixes were done but bluetooth has worked fine on my devices so nothing to test against.

I am getting a Samsung Gear 3 watch and I better be able to answer calls on the watch via Bluetooth from the phone or I will be very disappointed.

I got my November 5 security patch update yesterday and so far the only change I have really noticed is the colors button within the settings on the display tab. But I can't really tell the difference on the screen. I know there are many who had problems with the pixel 2 XL screen but I am not one of them.

Still haven't gotten the update. What the heck?

I ended up taking the SIM out, deleting the cache and data then force stopping the Google services framework then restarted the phone. Had to spam the update button a few times but it worked for me (unlocked Pixel 2XL in the UK).

Got my code for the free mini, but still no update for the security which I'd prefer over the mini ATM.

I'm still waiting for my update. Got my white Pixel 2 on 10/21. Pre-ordered from Google on 10/11. Verizon sim. My Google Home Mini is on its way. That being said, I'm not having any problems with my Pixel 2. I just want to see these screen & colors with the update, but I really like the natural colors it has now.

I'm more interested in any security enhancements. Really disappointed in Google and their rollout. I got this pixel2 for the good security and quick monthly updates. I hope my phone is not always going to be 2 months in arrears security wise. Might as well be back on my HTC 10 in that case. The phone is great, really like everything else about it, but I'm disappointed in the timely-ness of the roll out so far.

Same here. I don't remember waiting past the first week for a security patch on my original Verizon Pixel. Now I have a Google store Pixel 2 on Verizon and I'm still waiting. Hopefully this won't be the normal moving forward.
