Ordered a Pixel 4 XL 128gb black, with delivery on Oct 23-24. I currently have a Galaxy S10, which is a terrific phone, but the flakey fingerprint reader is driving me crazy. I had an iPhone 10 before, and loved Face ID, but didn't like the limitations of iOS. Don't care about the color, as I always use a case. Lack of wide angle lens is not an issue for me, as I have it on my S10, and don't find it very useful.

This could be me. I'm still debating about ordering the Pixel to try it out. Loved Face ID on the iPhone, but just overall, I'm not an iphone fan. I do like my Samsung, but even though the fingerprint sensor is working better now (took off the Dome Glass screen protector), I don't like it as much as I did Face ID. I'm not sure that's enough to override everything else I like about my S10. I had the original Pixel and really liked it a lot though. I didn't necessarily expect to love the minimalism of it (since I am a Samsung fan, lol), but I did. But a $35 restocking fee isn't horrible, and I'm considering getting it just to alternate days using each one to see which I like better.

Just more demand? Probably more people ordered than 128 GB models in those colors than what they initially expected. Generally companies don't tend to make too many phones and don't like them sitting at the warehouse or store shelves. Probably their initial estimate of demand for those models were off and now ramping up.

Just before someone says no way pixels are selling good and all. I don't care if they sell good or bad and I'm not saying that

For example they could have made 100 orange and white 128 GB XLs and if 300 people ordered then you have a situation of backlog.

Hopefully, they start fulfilling backorders fast.

I have a pixel 2xl panda and I still love it but battery life is severely diminished now...can’t wait to have this phone!

Just ordered black 128 XL from AT&T. Shipping should be Oct. 30. They only had 64s in the store. I made some plan changes and ended up saving $50 a month, lol.

It’s little complicated and happens with every manufacturer. Even on iPhone, Samsung launches there will be some models that are more back ordered than others. It could be they estimated less demand or manufacturing limitation due to streamlining the process etc. Could be anything but it’s nothing new and you will see this every year for every company phone launches. Obviously some may do better at fulfilling the back orders faster than others.

My 2XL has seen a decline in battery life. It's far more prevalent comparing it to my 4XL now.

so I picked up the pixel 4XL white on Friday. first impressions... huge difference to my OG pixel. and I like the size better. a bit of adjustment. I do understand why people complain about the forehead but not an issue for me.

everything is working great. sadly I am not able to get the new Google Assistant to work

Bad news- now google says there is a delay in shipment with no tentative date...anyone else get this?

Checked in on the status - it seems like my order can no longer be cancelled, the shipping estimate is no November 4-5...

Yes according to another team member factory reset without sim in the phone did the trick
