I want to stay up and help anyone who needs it but i am extremely tired and i only have 3 hours before i need to go to work.... good luck , im sure there are many people who can help with this process

your help is beyond what any one can ask for.
i have read and read all than i thought I could and your pic in above msgs showing the ph and pc not doing the job, scard the life outta me for a bit and i remembered yer "Don`t Panic, just try again". that alone has saved me more than once..
it saved me tonight as i tried to go from 2.6 to 2.8.when it was unsuccessful
and i tried again and saw the same screen with the triangle --PC pic I just decided to go back to my 2.6.... and 2.6 slipped right into place.. I will try 2.8 again but not tonight,

Thank you very much , thank you for reminding me that i put the troubleshooting section in , i added an index for others to find it on the OP.

Ok I just did this and must have done something wrong because now when I connect my phone to the computer I can't see it to put anything on the sd card. help.

Ok that worked. Sorry another question, again I'm new and feel like an idiot reading about all this. Does the EBO1/EB16 have the voodoo or is that something that will undo that?

Ok another dumb question, what is the update.zip file for?

so that you can go into clockwork recovery
from phone off
press and hold volume up+down+power button, samsung screen will flash twice then let go
scroll down to apply sdcard:update.zip, press home button to select.
this will lead you into red clockwork recovery ...in red clock work recovery you press power to select and the search button to go back.
from clockwork recovery you can flash roms, themes make full system backups and restores...plus other advanced options

@Landshark, i dont want to fill Adrynalynes thread with bantar but we can do it in my thread,,,,,,so i read over at XDA when someone mentioned to GizmoDroid about SC breaking cwm All ,he said the following

This is not supposed to happen, and if everything in your system is correctly set up, then it won't.

There is a deeper issue that is causing this to happen on your phone.

So i flashed back to stock and used the pit ..flashed cwm all, then flashed super clean, then tried to go back into recovery and Blue popped up again, so what deeper issue could i have if i flashed back to stock.

Hi, I used the EB16SC28_DXC.tar package. It went off without a hitch. I was very happy until I realized the market didn't work. It gives a network error. What can I do?

Thanks.

Yes there is a fix for that. Long press on the contacts icon, choose change shortcut, choose phone. Long press on that phone icon, choose change shortcut, choose contacts. Now you should be able to get out of the contacts page by hitting the back soft key.
no dice :(

i am using launcher pro if that makes a difference?

i would try wiping cache partition and dalvik cache again
if that doesnt work maybe flash again

How do I do that? I'm worried about messing it up. Sorry, I'm a bit new to this.

There are a couple of ways, but first... do you have update.zip from the Original Post placed on the root of your SD card? If so, continue. If not, make sure that you place the zip file, as is, on your SD card. Not in any directory. Just right there in the root, which should be the main screen you see when you see all of the other directories on your sd card.

Long press your power button and select Recovery.
When it comes up, the text will be blue. Use the volume down button to highlight the words "apply sdcard:update.zip". Then press the home icon, aka home capacitive button.

You should now see red lettering

Use the down arrow to highlight "wipe cache partition" and then short press the power (on/off) button.
Use the down volume button to highlight YES and then press the power button to execute the wipe.

You should now see a message in white that says Cache wipe complete, and have been brought back to the previous directory.

Use the down volume button to highlight advanced and then press the power button.
Use the down volume button to highlight "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and then press the power button.
Use the down volume button to highlight yes and then press the power button.

Same thing, you should get a success message and be brought back to the previous menu.

With Reboot System Now highlighted, press the power button and your phone should reboot.

See if that helps.

Personally, I had this issue when on the stock rom from Verizon. I flashed to Super Clean, and the issue went away. /shrugs
