[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I couldn't help myself, I had to flash the 2.9. Everything worked perfectly (like buttah). Thanks to everyone for their work on this - it's much appreciated!

I just did your update from stock to 2.8 on my verizon fascinate - all went well. Works great. Which flavor of the 2.9 do you reccommend that I use - I did the first thru Odin. All went well but I am not a phone geek - just point me to a stable version that works.

They are both stable. Since you are already on Froyo, choose the one that doesn't wipe - EB16SC29x_DXC.tar

SC29x. This is the non wipe version. Since you're already on 2.2, and you already have Super Clean, this is the best version to use, and you won't lose any of your apps or data.

I disappear from this thread for two hours while I'm trying to successfully reinstall my nandriod backups (with no success by the way), slip two quick responses in, and one of those slides right in ahead of you. Sorry SuD. Just want you to know I'm not doing it intentionally and I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing NEAR you. :p:D:p:D:p:D

smooth install of 2.9

I want to thank DroidX and LandShark for their help along with StandupDad. but i am thankful to land shark for showing me and helping me learn ClockWork and Land Shark for his time and patience with the clock work installation of SC2.9.... some hands on but all n all i made it and once again to anyone who is reading about SC 2.9 -It is a very stable OS and thus far i have not found anything to complain about ..
so if you are afraid that you will get scolded or snapped it, these guys here know what to do.. my experience with the team here has been informative and a very keen mind for patience to us noobies.. thanks again LandShark for your help kast night..

and to all others

SC 2.9 is the way to go, very stable and user friendly..

With the 2.9 the USB Settings seem to be different. I have a choice of Media Player, Mass storage, or Ask on connection. When I select either of them and connect the USB cable to the computer, my phone does not show up in the computer's list of drives. The phone does not give me the usual question about mounting and transferring data. Did I miss something somewhere?

Those have always been the choices, you need to have it on mass storage, and if you changed any of those that means you turned off usb debugging and that's why your phone is not connecting to your computer. menu=>settings=>applications=>development=> check usb debugging

I would highly recommend going to 2.9 from 2.8. Seems to be a much more stable ROM, fast, clean, very nice features added in now. Adrynalyne has really outdone himself with this one.

Thanks. When I select to turn on debugging I get a popup message saying "no accessibility applications found." So I go to the Accessibility settings screen and it says I do not have any and can download a screen reader from Android Market. Do I click okay to have it do that? I never had this issue before.

Right on.... I get to it first thing in the morning.

Thanks !!!

Sounds like you have media player chosen under your options in usb settings. Go back there and make sure mass storage is chosen, then go and turn on usb debugging.

And I gave you bad advice. when you click on usb debugging you click ok in the popup that says no accessibility applications found.

Frankly, I think I might have deleted some drivers on my laptop when I was attempting to install Android on my old WinMo phone. After rebooting the phone and plugging it into the laptop it started loading drivers for the phone. All is well and now I'll attempt to add some new boot animation...

2.9 is awesome fast compared to 2.8 ! Thanks to everyone for putting everything together. Hopefully battery life will go back up.

Everyone on this forum is really great about getting things answered, keep it up! Thanks

Just noticed a cool feature, you can slide finger across the notification bar to dim or brighten your screen. Probably lots of other features I don't know either.
