I couldn't help myself, I had to flash the 2.9. Everything worked perfectly (like buttah). Thanks to everyone for their work on this - it's much appreciated!
I just did your update from stock to 2.8 on my verizon fascinate - all went well. Works great. Which flavor of the 2.9 do you reccommend that I use - I did the first thru Odin. All went well but I am not a phone geek - just point me to a stable version that works.

With the 2.9 the USB Settings seem to be different. I have a choice of Media Player, Mass storage, or Ask on connection. When I select either of them and connect the USB cable to the computer, my phone does not show up in the computer's list of drives. The phone does not give me the usual question about mounting and transferring data. Did I miss something somewhere?
Dang... 2.9 already ???
I just did 2.8 a couple days ago... ya'll too fast !!!
Is it recommended to go to 2.9 from 2.8 ?I can't keep up... lol![]()
I would highly recommend going to 2.9 from 2.8. Seems to be a much more stable ROM, fast, clean, very nice features added in now. Adrynalyne has really outdone himself with this one.
Thanks. When I select to turn on debugging I get a popup message saying "no accessibility applications found." So I go to the Accessibility settings screen and it says I do not have any and can download a screen reader from Android Market. Do I click okay to have it do that? I never had this issue before.

Sounds like you have media player chosen under your options in usb settings. Go back there and make sure mass storage is chosen, then go and turn on usb debugging.
