Just noticed a cool feature, you can slide finger across the notification bar to dim or brighten your screen. Probably lots of other features I don't know either.

Yes, that is a feature of froyo, but only if you have automatic brightness unchecked in settings. If you have automatic brightness checked, that feature will not work.

Ok, help me understand...I'm currently using SC2.5 and love it! A few hickups in phone calls & blue tooth at times, but otherwise phone is very fast. What, if any, would SC2.9 bring me? I never went to 2.8 cause I didn't need all the tethering and crap (whatever all that does). So I ask the experts, what would 2.9 bring me over 2.5?

Anyone using the deodexed/debloated rom with themes? I have tried a few and keep getting boot loops. I restored a backup of the deodexed rom from sc 2.8 and then installed VA Green and got stuck. I had to restore my nandroid to get back up. This happened on a different theme as well. I thought as long as the rom was deodexed, it was ok. Maybe not...

SC 2.8 worked ok but some BT issues made me go back.

You can check out the first post in Adrynalyne's superclean thread. He details all the changes he makes, what he adds, what he takes out with each new version. Basically though 2.9 is unbelievably faster, definitely much more stable, he has improved GPS lock. I think he has really outdone himself with this version. JaeKar99, Suicide Shift, and I have been fighting this battle incessantly. It seems there is a problem sometimes flashing themes. The only advice I can really give is make sure your battery is near 100% when you flash the theme. I have had better luck successfully flashing with my phone plugged in. And don't flash the theme and a ROM or anything else in the same cwm session as the theme.

yeah adrynalyne is fast with this stuff, unfortunatley i keep getting force closes with 2.9.1, so i cant make a package if its not running corectly , hopefully 2.9.2 will be better

You don't need to have DXC put 2.9.1 in an ODIN package. 2.9.1 is just a patch you flash through clockworkmod recovery. It is not an entire ROM. Look at the first post in Adrynalyne's thread right below the screenshots and below where it says Changelog:, it clearly says 2.9.1 patch and only contains the three things with the dashes before them.

sure the change would take a couple of seconds but its not worth making if it caused more problems than it fixed
