[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Having an issue, I did a full backup with titanium pro. Then wiped my current super clean 2.8 install by using the DL01 Odin restore file. Which should have wiped out all of my apps. Flashed SC2.9 with Odin. Now a number of my apps are back and already installed. I am trying to start fresh with no apps installed in SC2.9. Any Ideas?

How to use Odin

*Warning frustrated noob*

I will start by saying that I am no entirely tech savvy. I am completely new to modding. I am trying upgrade my phone to superclean 2.8 from Adrynalyn. I am trying to follow a walk through on updating on XDA. I have rooted my phone, installed ROM Manager which includes Clockwork. I am trying to send the eb01 modem to my Phone via Odin3 1.3. I cannot even get my phone to be recognized by Odin. It is recognized by my computer so I know it is hooked up right. Here is how I have tried to do it. I have diconnected my phone from my computer, executed Odin and clicked on PDA and selected the modem .tar file from the computer. I then turn my phone into manual download mode and connected it to my computer. It is not detected by my computer and when I click on "Start" the message pops up "all threads completed. (Succeeded 0/ Failed 0)" Whenever my phone is connected outside of manual download mode it is picked up by Odin. At this point under ID:COM I see 0:[COM3]. If I try to send it when it's not in manual download mode (which I know is not the right way to do things) it gives me this series of messages <ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..<ID:0/003> File analysis..<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
I am sure that I must be doing something wrong that is simple to fix so what is it and how can I fix it so I can update my phone. Thank you.

Edit: Status as noob reaffirmed. I posted this in the wrong area. Sorry.

Text Messaging Force Closes After Froyo Update

I wanted to throw this question to anyone that might know. I followed the instructions to the letter at the start of this thread to install 2.2 on my Fascinate. The install went without any problems, or so I thought. The problem I'm having, and the only one as far as I can see, is when I open a text thread to respond, my phone vibrates a couple times and then closes the text app. I then get an error saying that it encountered an unexpected problem and has to force close. So here is the question, did I do something when I installed the update or is it something with the update itself. I chose the super clean 2.9 with malware protection with the data wipe. If I did something, which I suspect maybe I did since the guys that put this update out know what they're doing, will going through the process again fix the problem? Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

did you restore from titanium backup, if so what option did you use?

Try the non wipe version, then let me know if you still have the same problem?

Voodoo who?

Does Super Clean version 2.9 - EB01/EB16 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmodwith MALWARE protection contain the voodoo kernel? What do I need to do to use the Voodoo Lag fix?
Thanks

So it's not an issue of not being able to send or receive, I just can't reply directly within the current text thread. Any ideas?
