[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

i have none of those things on my superclean, are you sure you flashed it correctly? or are you sure you didnt download something else.... are those in your app drawer?

yes I just followed all the steps on post #1 and chose sc 2.3 and used odin to flash it. after it finished and i booted in i could see all those apps in my app drawer.

also another note: i just downloaded the sc 2.4 tar file and when i click the pda in Odin i cant find the tar file even though I'm in the right folder.

Sure, like vcast music, tones, video, navigator, Nfs shift, tetris and etc.

NFS Shift and Tetris demos are there in Super Clean, but are uninstallable from Settings/Applications. If you see things like VCAST Music and whatnot, I believe the phone wasn't wiped sufficiently, as I have done that myself before. It will probably go against the gurus, but I recommend using the stock blue recovery to do a factory reset / cache wipe, then go into CWM and do it again, then re-flash Super Clean. For me, that's provided the most effective wipe as I've been experimenting with EB01 ROMs. (Of course, my CWM didn't really work right until about an hour ago, so take it with a grain of salt!)

can someone tell me what im doing wrong? i have 2.2.1 and root but not clockwork mod? In recovery I see samsung blue recovery. also I tried several times and it always takes about 3 mins. I changed usb ports and redownloaded the update to be sure. any ideas? any easy way to add clockwork mod?

Blue is the stock recovery screen you will see before you get into clockwork (red cwm). When you are in blue recovery, you have to hit the volume down button once so apply sdcard:update.zip is highlighted, then hit the home soft key. This will take you into clockwork

RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT EXTRACT HERE THE .rar file AFTER DOWNLOADING AND BEFORE USING -->EB01SC23_DXC.tar (Does not include boot animation so be patient while it loads)

i compressed it with winrar
Download WINRAR

then you will be able to see the downloaded file as EB01SC23_DXC.tar.rar then right click on it and select extract here

you are fine, just pull the battery , put it in download mode and start again

elycore, see DXC's response to an earlier person who had the same problem. Note the large bold print. You just skipped over that step in the process is all. No problem. Easily fixed.

no it is put there from the clockwork recovery , but voodoo part of red clockwork was removed so just ignore it

did you happen to do a titanium restore?

Wondering why the EB01 release has the letters on the 3 key all mixed up, as the DL30 release did.

I must add that I do love it.... GPS is ultra fast and the phone is quick too. Battery seems to go a little quicker than the DL30 release did.

Question:

When I try and flash a theme I get "installation aborted"
What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

please be more specific, what are the steps you are taking, when is it happening, ....etc

the more specific you are the better we can help you , just telling me it says installation aborted doesnt tell me anything

Well I power off my phone and press the power and volume button to get into recovery mode. I choose update.zip and takes me into clockwork recovery but a red version. Then I proceed to where my them is that I was to flash and I select to flash it and as soon as I do that I just get the "installation aborted" and just takes me back to the beggining of the red CW.

you are going to
install from sd card>choose zip from sdcard > then you are selecting the whatever zip you were looking for

perhaps it was a bad download of the zip file, redownload and try again,,,
also go to "advanced" and fix permissions

Now I get the problem. You are trying to use the full package again. In order to use the full package again you would have to follow the instructions from the first post again which is unnecessary since you already have the modem and kernel. Go to this thread:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...om-dl09-super-clean-0-4-eb01-2-3-updated.html

and download the 2.3 nv zip file to your sd card then follow my instrucions on using cwm. now that you have what you need it's time to learn how to flash roms, themes, and add-ons through cwm. I was pming with DXC and he said when he has time he is going to put a video together on how to use cwm to flash things. These packages are designed to assist people who have never rooted in getting Froyo.

Alright, got it now. But now, I don't want the superclean. I have heard its too stripped down. So I want the deodexed, which doesn't have a zip file correct? Which means I would have to ask Adrynalyne for one if he decides to do one correct?
