No if you already used one of the ODIN packages in this thread you don't need to use the ODIN package again. This is an easy all-in-one package DroidXcon has put a lot of time and work into putting it together for first timers to get rooted and get the latest software. Once you have done the all-in-one ODIN it's time to take the next step in the evolution and learn how to flash things through clockworkmod recovery (cwm), which is the method I described above. You can grab the nonvoodoo zip file here in this thread:

You just left click on the zip file you want and download to your sd card then follow the instructions in my previous post.

If you have already used one of the ODIN packages, you don't need to use it again unless you are completely uncomfortable with the method I described above. If you just follow my exact instructions it is actually very easy and is the way everyone uses when you hear people talking about flashing 5, 6 or more things in one day. Which ODIN package did you use? If you used the one for 2.5 you can just use the method I described above to flash the 2.6 zip file from Adrynalyne's thread. If you used any of the other previous ODIN packages you will just simply need to wipe cache and dalvik cache and I can walk you through that.

So I was unsuccessful again last night. I tried extracting the .rar files with jzip, 7zip, and winrar for both sc2.4 and debloated. To no avail in all attempts.

The one thing that I have noticed in each instance of trying to "extract here" with winrar to get the .rar.md5 file is that I get an icon that looks like a windows icon rather than a winrar icon (such as in DroidXcon's instructions in step 2).

Needless to say, I'm way way frustrated. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help or guidance is appreciated.......

No, don't download the non wipe 2.6. That is a rar file which contains the tar file which contains the 2.6 zip file which you can download all by itself here with no extracting needed:

Just left click on the nonvoodoo 2.6 file to download it.

Negative. He posted in the thread. I've now attempted this 4 or 5 times. The 2 areas that I think I may be screwing up on is 1) placement of the unzip file on the sd card or 2) the installation method of winrar. How can I confirm that I placed the unzip file properly on the sdcard?

Unfortunately, I'm at work and don't have the required items to hook up to the pc.

No, it won't delete anything. Click on the link in my post. That will take you to Adrynalyne's superclean thread. In the first post, find the 2.6 nonvoodoo link and left click it to download the file. If you are able to download it directly to your sd card, do that. If you have to download to your computer first then drag it over to your sd card, do that. Before you do though, I know you used odin to install one of the packages. I need to know which package you installed, EB01 Stock, EB01 debloated/deodexed, or one of the superclean packages and specifically which superclean package you installed.

No need to extract or unzip those files. Since you were having trouble unzipping or extracting files, DroidXcon took care of that part for you and sent you those files so you could just start from that point.

Perfect. That makes your process even easier. You will not need to wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing the new ROM. Just follow the instructions I laid out for going to Adrynalyne's thread and downloading the file and you will probably be done in 5-10 minutes.

Ok so after I find that file from DroidXcon in the thread where do I pick back up in the steps? What about determining if I properly copied the unzip files to my sdcard? How can I confirm that I properly copied the unzip file from step 1?

After you are in red cwm you need to scroll to install zip from sd card with the volume button, then in red you use the power button to choose something, so hit the power button. This will take you to the root of your sd card. If you put the 2.6 zip file there you will see it in the menu. Scroll to it by using the volume buttons, then hit the power button. You will get a confirmation page, scroll to yes and hit the power button. If you put the zip file in a folder you will need to scroll to that folder from the root of the sd card and hit the power button to go into that folder. Just find where you put the 2.6 zip file, scroll to it so it is highlighted and hit the power button, then confirm installation. After it is done installing hit the menu soft key until you are back at the main red cwm menu where reboot system now will be highlighted at the top of he menu, hit the power button and wait for your phone to boot up.

That is exactly what I had been doing...time and time again..lol
For some reason anything that I put manually on my sd card won't
show up in Red CWM...

So what I did was; found an empty folder on my sd card that DID show
up in red,and moved the .zip to that.... went into that folder,found the.zip
and flashed... ALL systems GO..... lol
This method is working,but I need to do some research and find out
why RED is not picking up manually added folders and files..that is;unless they are put in existing folders.....
I'm sure it's something insanely simple,but I'm too noob ta see it...

When you plug your phone into your pc with usb debugging enabled, pull down the notification bar, click usb connected, then hit the gray bar under the green droid on the screen that appears, an auto play window will pop up on your computer, click "open folder to view files", the directory that pops up is the root of your sd card. This is where the update.zip file should be. Look for it there, everything should be listed alphabetically. If it is not there you will need to find where it is and delete it from that location, then save a new copy to that first directory.

When you find those files you got from DroidXcon, you need to make sure you use the ones he sent you in the pm not the ones he listed in the thread, make sure you saved a copy of them to your pc, then you will pick up the instructions from the first post at step 3.

The one that just says nonvoodoo. The other one is just the EB16 kernel which is the basic building block of the ROM. Right now you need the whole ROM, so download the one that just says nonvoodoo.
