Can I just download from the link the 2.6? Then extract it and load it via ODIN? I am coming from 2.4 which is running the phone now.

Just want to make sure, need the phone to work afterwords!

yeah if you are already running 2.4 just use the EB16SC26x_DXC.tar file

hey im new to fasciate coming from incredible..and the processes seem to b very different for flashing roms and themes..appear that way anyways...thats why im posting this..i have been to so many threads looking for this simple answer..i have eb01 kernal 2.6.32.9 and im trying to figure out what rom i can flash or theme..and do i just flash in recovery ..simply install zip from sd card or is there more to it than that..u guys seem helpful reading thru this so i thot i wld ask..thanks for any help

i did flash thru odin this EB16SC26x_DXC.tar..im having a hard time figuring out is that the latest superclean rom? can i flash a theme for eb01 over it..any eb01 theme?

Jaekae has you covered, here is a break down of all themes and roms that can be used for EB01 kernels..... unless i supply it in the OP of this thread it is flashed through clockwork...i could make packages for just themes and such but that is really alot of trouble so ill just do full roms

also when i boot into recovery i dont have a back up restore option do i do that thru rom manager?..i followed ur instructions droid x for flashing that and u have posted at the end of that thread this ..NOTE DO NOT FLASH ROM MANAGER RECOVERY IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE..im confused by that..i realize that im quite the pain ha im sorry im trying to get my head around this..the incredible was or seemed to me so much easier and im trying to learn this phone now..thank you so much for ur patience and held

ok i just flashed the honeycomb theme on 2.6 worked smooth,,,,and ofcourse you have backup restore option,,,when you are in red clockwork recovery scroll down to backup/restore from there you can back up and restore

ROM MANAGER whether you paid for it or not has been abandoned by for the fascinate by koush so it does not work ,,if you flash clockwork recovery from rom manager it will break clockwork recovery on your system and only stock recovery will work

settings>about phone,,, give me the numbers in the baseband and build number sections

have you used odin at anypoint to flash clockwork recovery.
if you have not used odin at some point then you can not run clockwork

you need odin to install a recovery kernel that will alow you to use clockwork recovery

sorry i had a phone call i had to tak care of ,,,yes clockwork is installed,,,did you put the update.zip on the sdcard as instructed?
