[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I flashed EB16SC26_DXC and most everything seems to be working well. I, like others, can't set any new wallpaper. I select wallpaper, gallery, select the image (.jpg) set the crop, then save...it gives the saving message and the setting wallpaper message and then...no wallpaper. Odd.

This is odd because i have tried it everyway and have not seen this problem,, ill keep trying to replicate it though

what was the state of your phone before you flashed this, what build were you on, were you running voodoo....etc

I was running the fix that verizon pushed out to fix the emergency call button not working (I think it was dl30 before that). Had nothing special going on besides for using launcher pro and I was not running voodoo.

what file did you use to flash EB16SC26x_DXC.tar or EB16SC26_DXC.tar

My file says EB16SC26_DXC.tar.md5

ok try settings>applications>manage applications>market>clear cache /data , unistall any updates (if any of those are available)

turn off wifi if its on
make sure you have good data connection, check the browser , toggle airplane mode...etc.....

if non of these work i suggest flashing again.

I have a couple of questions that I will ask here as I am not sure if they are rom related. Apologies if I should be posting these elsewhere.

I installed the full non-voodoo SC2.5 package using odin and then set up wifi access for the first time by adding my mac address to my router/modem software as my setup does not allow open access. I then updated to 2.6 using just the rom zip file from xda. I was having market problems and finally reverted back to stock using odin and then installed the full SC2.6 package from here. When I tried to connect to my wifi again I couldn't until I finally noticed that my mac address had changed. What causes this to happen?

Second question - after trying every suggestion to fix my market downloading issues (I can access the market but can't download applications) I reverted to stock and then back to 2.6 (see above) but still can't figure out how to make market work. I am trying to download using wifi as I don't have a data plan for 3G. I click on the Install button and see that the download is attempting to start but nothing happens after that. Just the green bar that continues to rotate. I set up a motorola droid on the same wifi network and can download/install with no problems. Am I missing some setting on the fascinate that must be turned on/off? I already tried all of the clearing cache, data, updates etc for both market and download manager.

Thanks in advance.

Well I tried all of your suggestions before reflashing it, but that finally got it to work. Who knows why that happened..

Alright, last question I think. Should I use "restore my missing apps + all system data" from titanium backup?
There are 3 types of text green, red, and strikethrough.
I'm guessing I should unselect the red items and keep all the others.
Is this correct, I don't want to overwrite anything that came with SC 2.6?

Thanks

well when you flash from my packages it rewrites the OS thats prob why the mac address does that,,, i dont think there is a market issue it has to be some security issue , i dont know alot about wifi setup but many people have success simply resetting their routers... im sorry if im not much help, on this subject

maybe adrynalyne can help

HEY, I just went through the same problem and I fixed it!!!
After installing 2.6 I couldn't download apps from the market.
I tried the actions in the previous threads of mine, but none of them worked.
I finally just reflashed 2.6 and it works great now!
So maybe instead of reverting to stock, just reflash on top of your current 2.6.
Hope it works for you!

When you restore apps through titanium backup choose all missing apps + data, not the option with the system data.

i mean it can be, but i just dont see it worth the risk, the milliseconds it may add does not help me much.. so why make the phone do what its not designed physically to do....although the robot chicks voice is cool when installing isnt it lol

i like her, sounds hot...u know whats weird is the post i got the link from said there was no voice since they didnt have the source code...but sure nuff she was talking
