[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

ill be honest i like tw...and i dont like to move to far away from stock because everytime i do i find something that doesnt work

************Edited to say nevermind - I figured it out with the help of a Google image search. ***************

Thank you to everyone for posting tips and advice about rooting. I now have 2.6 with no problems. I Googled a bit to find the answer to this question but didn't find an answer -- can anyone define the symbols on the notification bar for me? They are different from my original ones.

The first one I know is Wi-Fi, the second (that looks kind of like a pointy letter B with a bow on the left side) might be 3G, the dot with the circle and four points on it is the GPS but what are the arrows and rectangle with arrows circling it? I also have Launcher Pro installed, which could make a difference in what I'm seeing...

Thanks! I'm enjoying getting to know my phone all over again with the Froyo update!

From left to right, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Data (3G), Auto Rotate (disabling this feature prevents the use of applications like browsers or gmail from rotating to a horizontal use)

So I broke down and finally installed SC 2.6 just a few minutes ago.
Had no problems with odin or booting up the phone.
But when I go to the market to download titanium backup, the market comes up with an error that says download was unsuccessful..

I've tried rebooting my phone and downloading other apps but they all have the same error.
Any suggestions?

Odd, this happened to me too. This is why I opted to come to this thread and download the leaked roms in the first place. Oddly enough, after updating that last update to fix the grid lock emergency call issue, I couldn't install any application from downloading from the market. I could side load an application, but not from the market.

Flashed to Super Clean, and I was good to go from that point on. VZ broke something, and I couldn't find anyone that had a fix.

I want to thank everyone who writes in this post. I was scared to death to do (root my phone) this, but DroidXcon and everyone else makes it a point to make things easy to understand. I just rooted to the 2.6x version successfully and now can enjoy my phone like the gods intended. Thanks!

Hoping you can help me. I installed EB01 full stock via Odin. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the instructions. I just learned tonight that I am basically limited as to the "fun" I can have with this because it is not the deodexed version. I don't like feeling limited. So I figured I may try the deodexed, debloated version. So my question: Can I just install the deodexed version right over the stock version and be good to go?

yes but it will wipe your data and contacts so make sure you back them up

I'm still having too much fun learning all the new things Froyo gives us to be even remotely concerned with Gingerbread.

I have a tendency to want the next new thing. I've kept patient with the Eclair for 6 months and when I couldn't take it any longer I just said screw it lets root. Now I hear about gingerbread so I want it too.
