Thanks in advance..

Neither of the Comm ROM packages wipe data, they both include the recovery from CWM-Froyo, and Comm ROM itself is rooted, so yes they contain root. And the title of the thread does say w/Root. And right above the Comm ROM packages it says they are no wipe packages. Having trouble getting the wipe packages to work.

ODIN CR 1.3 is working great on my phone so far, now to just re-theme the swype keyboard. Not liking the TSM logo on the keys

No problems timmy? Thanks for testing. I didn't mind the TSM logo on the keys because I support Team Sbrissen Mods. It was just the coloring of the pop ups I couldn't take. I couldn't read it. I flashed the swipe fix patch and that is much better.

no issues yet. calls are clear, sms and mms both work. GPS is quick to lock when not in my work building. only had one issue with the Miui lock screen, tried to access txt from there and it force closed on me. ended up pulling the battery to get back in.

The swype patch is done via CWM correct?

Yes, swype patch is flashed in CWM. Thanks again for testing.

So I had been running ED01 and Froyo for a couple weeks now, moving from SC2.9.2 to CommRom 1.2, then 1.3 on Tuesday. It had worked fine until Thursday when I started getting random lockups with a Black SOD on Thursday night. I've been trying to wipe and get back to CommRom 1.3 but it refuses to load on my system.

I used the original ZIP through CWM Recovery but it just resulted in the Samsung logo coming up and then nothing happening, though I could still get to CWM Recovery, which allowed me to restore from my last backup. I was able to get Kaoscinate and CM1.2 restored, but I could not get to 1.3.

I tried again to wipe, following all of the directions on the threads, then tried the method through ODIN on this one - I was Voodoo before on CM1.2/3, but I downloaded & installed the CR_NoModem_CVx_Shark.tar file through Odin.

Now the only thing happening is it's going to the Android bootup and vibrating like it's constantly crashing out. Help me rescue my phone!

You're in luck. I just finished the wipe versions of the Comm ROM ODINs. Here is the no modem version since I assume you want to keep whatever modem you have as you used the no modem no wipe version:

CR_NoModem_Nuts_Shark.tar

Landshark,

Thank you! I'll try it. I've been trying the others. I got the DeBloated ED01 to load but it had a lot of FCs after restart. I scrubbed it and tryed to put Kaoscinate V7 back on, but couldn't get the USB mounting running, so now I'm trying CR1.3 again - I'm not attached to my modem/kernel, though I liked running the Voodoo for lagfix & the other enhancements that came with Comm ROM, but I can't get that to load for some reason. I was trying to stay with ED01 which the other packages didn't include.

Ugh, I was supposed to be in bed two hours ago, I have to be in court in the morning!

Thanks Sharky! My sisters Fascinate got jacked up when she went to install the OTA update. I couldn't talk her into going for the Comm. ROM but she running Debloated and loving it.

Thanks for making it easy!

Does the ODIN packages of Community ROM contain any kind of voltage control for the kernel? I think you are using a different kernel then the one supplied in the original voodoo Community ROM but not sure if it retains same voltage controls the nemesis2all kernal. Does the ComaVolt kernel incorporate any undervoltage if there is no voltage control or is it normal voltage? I would like to try to get better battery life by playing with undervoltage settings. Thanks for all your hard work landshark.
I have been using Droidxcons superclean packages for moths now and i am ready to try community ROM. Thanks for taking the tourch and keeping the ODIN all in one packages alive.

When i odin the CR_EC01_CVx_Shark rom to my phone, all i get is the android splash screen and it vibrates another few times and just reboots and then it starts looping..

Is there anything else I need to do?

You're welcome. The real thanks goes to DXC. I'm simply continuing the work he started after he held my hand and showed me how to put the ODIN packages together. Pretty much put the round peg in the round hole and the square peg in the square hole. But it feels good to contribute to the community, so thank you.

The Comm ROM ODIN packages contain times_infinity's nonvoodoo ComaVolt kernel which is undervolted by 75mv across the board. It does not support further undervolting through voltage control. ODIN packages do not work with voodoo kernels, so I couldn't use nemesis2all's OTB kernel included in Comm ROM. But the instructions from the OP clearly let everyone know if they want to run a different kernel all they have to do is place the kernel of their choice on their sd card then flash it through CWM. So you can use the ODIN package, then flash nemesis2all's OTB v1.3 voodoo kernel after so you can use voltage control. I have always had great results with the ComaVolt kernel, so if you want to try it for a few days to see how it works with your set up, you can certainly do that.

I have normally had great success with times_infinity's ComaVolt kernel. But for some reason I think imnuts' kernels are working better with Comm ROM 1.3, at least as far as the ODIN packages are concerned. I haven't posted these packages yet, and unfortunately this is a wipe version, but perhaps this will work better for you. Later in the week I will repackage the current no wipe packages with imnuts' kernel.

shark--went to comavolt form OTB and had some bugs resolved...overall what do you find is better with imnuts pbjtime? Battery..? Or just easier to work with in ODIN..

Did not test battery or anything else with the different kernels. My only concern was getting the ODIN packages to work and the ROM to load up. For some reason ComaVolt is causing a FC loop at boot with the ODIN packages. Imnuts' kernel seems to work to allow a clean install and boot of the ROM with the ODIN packages. I still get great results when I run ComaVolt with my set up. So when I post the new packages I am going to clearly advise everyone to flash the kernel of their choice after they flash the packages in ODIN. My only criteria for choosing anything to include in the ODIN packages from this point forward is going to be the ability to get the ROMs to load and boot successfully.
