Landshark,
I'm basically creating a double post. I posted something similar in another thread, but wanted to edit it and post it here for you and other to see. As you well know, I've been able to help a bunch of folks get out of sticky situations, as well as resolve my own, and document them as you and others do here. So, here's a new chapter.
Been gone a while and this is my issu: I was running a debloated version of EB01 for months and months, and had no issues whatsoever. I did this because I was having sms and mms issues with SC, and in lieu of having Adrynalyne try to fix an issue that might only be my fault, I opted to roll back to a more stable and less modified version of a ROM. Flash forward to last week.
I opted to come and modify the phone because I had a little bit of down time while working on projects at work. I loaded the debloated ED01, no wipe, and with only a couple of hiccups, I was good for a couple of days before I opted for the community rom, 1.3 last night.
That said, and after loading the full wipe version, I was seemingly unable to download from the marketplace. I could connect, and would network failure to connect type messages. The issue was that when I clicked okay to accept the permissions, it stopped right there. I never got any FC's on the market app. When I went into settings to clear Market cache, it would never clear. I did this many times, and the process would stay stuck on trying to clear for upwards of 30 minutes before I got tired of waiting. Then I opted to do the full roll back.
I rolled back to DI09, let it complete writing and set up my google account for the marketplace, and then powered off and loaded debloated ED01 and that didn't fix the issue. I did the same process again and tried the com rom, and nothing. I am always performing the load of the wipe versions, and the marketplace has issues. Unil... one time it didn't.
I was able to get Titanium to dl, and my key, and started the process for restoring, and wouldn't you know... Titanium keeps freezing within a few percent. I back out and terminate the process, and when I start it up again, whether I've rebooted or not, it almost always freezes. Oddly enough, there are times when I can't get Titanium to work because it FC's as soon as I boot my phone. Even more odd, when I perform a load with Odin and use the Wipe version of the rom, Titanium comes back and FC's. No other apps are showing up. And here's another. One time after I was able to get Titanium to load about 14% of my apps, I had to back out because it froze. I looked in the app drawer and saw them, I rebooted, and everything was gone after the reboot. I had only the basic load of DI09. Explain that one?
I wouldn't expect Titanium to have issues like this, nor anything else. I've been pretty successful in helping folks out for some months before I had to leave. But now that I come back, I seem to have created a mess where even though I can use my phone as a phone, and sms is working, I can't get it back to a workable "model" of either the com rom, or debloated ED01.
Reason why I'm posting here is because I have the same issue as the OP from another thread where he can't get Market apps to dl, and have used all of my tools and cannot recover for what appears to be a simple problem. I'm open to anyone who has an idea.
Thoughts?
I'm back and forth between work, pt and dr visits due to an new injury I've caused to myself, so please be patient if I don't reply too quickly, but I will give my best for anything anyone has to ask or offer.
SuD.
PS As much as I hate to do this, and is basically the reason why I purchased the full version of titanium (so I could do zero click installs), I am going to find a way to install it and not install the key. I will install everything one by one. Maybe that'll help, but I have to get past the market issue first.
[EDIT] - Eventually rolled back to DI09, then to ED01, was able to download Titanium from the market place, but had to install the system files before attempting to install applications. Some apps wouldn't install after trying to install the community rom. And after 50 reboots and individually installing and downloading some of my apps, all seems to be working. I did nothing special except that every time Titanium froze, I had to reboot. When it froze, I documented the app it was stuck on and did not install it. The apps it got stuck with were related to installing the app and the data. If I installed it without the data, it installed without issue.
Not sure if I'll try ComRom for a while since I went through all of this stuff.
