[ODIN] Official Froyo ED01 packaged custom ROMs w/Root - Updated 06/12/11

Also did you mount dbdata or data? I forget which one but one is not mounted by default.

Good catch Suicide. Pikante, go into cwm, scroll down to mounts and storage, make sure it says unmount in front of data & dbdata, and try fixing permissions again.

Alright hold on guys, ill tell you as soon as i figure out.

Well i did everything and after unmounting data and dbdata, fixing permisions did take longer but when i rebooted no luck, still FC

Am i supposed to always have unmounting data and dbata? Instead of mount data and dbdata?

Idk if this is weird but i just wanted to see what would happen if i flashed Comavolt voodoo over this (since i was running that before the odin flash non wipe), I flashed the kernel, enabled lagfix and now i have no FC.

What you are seeing in cwm with those is like a toggle switch. If you are seeing unmount, that means they are mounted. By hitting the power button on what is highlighted, you perform the action you are looking at.

Outstanding. I usually don't get involved in recommending one kernel over the other, but I'm completely partial to ComaVolt. I've had great results with it.

So far, so good on my end. I came from EB01 SC 2.9.2. When my phone booted up my widgets didn't load. Re-added them to the screen and everything seems to be working great :)

Will definitely have to get a theme though....I'm not use to the stock look anymore :p

BTW, which themes can I use? I'm confused since this odin came with ED01, EC01 and EC10. Most of the newer themes are EC01...so I can use those, right? Or would I have to use ED01 since that's the rom? God I need to get to bed haha :p

Pretty much all of the themes made since we have been on EB01 have worked across all builds. But you will definitely be safe with any theme for EC01.

How have you checked to verify you still have bing? Where does bing come up?

the bing icon is still there should it be there ?

Yes, that is just the bing maps icon. Hit the search soft key and it should go to Google, hold down the search soft key, and it should go to Google voice search. If you go menu=>settings=>apps=>all and scroll through the list you shouldn't see anything bing. That's the best way to see it is not there.
