[ODIN][Released by p3droid] Leaked Gingerbread EC09 Full Stock package

i flashed the Original GB leak from DroidX's post, then i went back to Com2..0 because of lag issues. i flashed the CWM recovery provided by in the Nameless 4.0 post to ensure that Nameless was compatible.I wiped both cashes and partition. After the install my home button did work so i rebooted to no luck so i figured i just re-wiped the caches and partition and reinstalled Nameless V4 again and the home button worked. i reinstalled all my apps using titanium back up and did not install System data. after all the app installs the phone ran really slow so i rebooted it and that is when the sd card went bad. GB said that it was damaged and my need to be wiped, i rebooted and it did it again and would not mount and the computer would not read it at all. if you need anymore specifics please ask.

Well your initial issue of the home button not working and the lag was likely a result of going back to Comm ROM improperly. Everything I have read or seen said when reverting back to a previous OS (2.3.3 to 2.2.1 in this case) you have to use ODIN.

***IF I AM CORRECT ABOUT HAVING TO ODIN WHEN GOING BACKWARD IN OPERATING SYSTEM, EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO GO BACK TO COMM ROM OR EVIL FASCINATION WILL NEED TO ODIN TO EB01 THEN BUILD YOUR WAY BACK UP***

I will try to confirm this information tonight.

I would agree after this test I performed. While running Nameless 4.1 I odined CWM3.Voodoo and proceeded to flash ComRom. Device booted fine and ran some. Then after first reboot had a major crash. Odined EC09 leak and all is fine again.

So as Landshark said Odin EB01 first when going back to ComRom.

Pretty sure my sd card is corrupt for real too as it cannot be read by my phone our both pc's I have stuck it in

Came from stock debloated froyo, rooted

Used odin to get to original leak gb

Rooted with gingerbreak

Had 2 restarts and lost all sd contents and card no longer functions

ODIN EB01 package will restore you to EB01 baseband (modem) and build. You can flash your choice of Froyo ROM from there through CWM. To get back to your desired modem, quickest way will be to use comradesven's modem delta files:

[MODEM][ODIN][CWM]DL09, EA28, ED01, ED03, ED04 modems without ridiculous 100MB OTAs - xda-developers

Or you can ODIN back to stock DL09 and let the phone OTA up to ED04:

Then flash your choice of Froyo ROM through CWM.

Came from UKB 2.0/OTB1.6Voodoo/ED04

Odin stock GB leak

Reboot

Odin CWM 3-30 All

Reboot recovery

Wiped cache partition/delvik cache

Flashed su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.19

Reboot

Froze unwanted apps with TiBU

Have been running this for 2 days with no problems! SD card is fine. Battery life is good, 6.5 hours on full charge with 2.5hrs of talk time and other use FB, Angrybirds, Burn rope, 30-45min Netflix! :D
Signal strength is a little better than my wife's with Stock Froyo, debloated/deodexed/debing, non-voodoo, and ED03 Modem.

So far I'm very happy! Just wish I could have my Voodoo back for speed!

I am no dev, but so far people who have rooted with busy box/su don't seam to be having the problem.

sharky, what did you do and do you have this problem?

This method works best for me too. 4.1 got laggy afte awhile. And yes the voodoo speed would be great. Hopefully it will come soon.

That's something I've noticed as well. It seems like Gingerbreak isn't playing nice with people's phones. Now I'm really glad I went the SU way...

Can I get a link to these files? I'm going to reflash GB and try it that way. (Nothing to lose at this point.)

got a bad experience on this leak. after a smooth installation for more than half a day, sorts of problems showed up like freeze up, random reset and sdcard can not be accessed through root explorer or stock file manager. worst thing it formatted my sd card loosing all my back up, pictures, videos and saved contacts. sucks but everything can be reinstalled.

now going back to 2.2 and going to wait until a stable version of this leak.

I spotted a problem today that I don't think I've seen anyone mention: I'm not able to get my phone to pair with my Motorola BT handsfree device in the car.

Other than that, everything seems to be running well after a day of use. I'm getting a MUCH stronger signal -- decent coverage in places where I normally have almost no signal. GPS locked right away and seemed slightly better than the Froyo and Eclair ROMs I've used. Battery life was definitely better than on the current stock Froyo.

root and debing?

When you guys talk about debinging, are you including debinging the browser because thats one of the things that bugs me about bing is the stupid browser?

I am not convinced it's gingerbreak, since most/all of the people who use it uninstall it once SU is installed and running, plus it's been seen to happen to people who use the pre-rooted Nameless rom, so the chances of "lasting effects" from gingerbreak like randomly nuking SD cards at a later time seem unlikely... But, here is the link, shamelessly stolen from XDA:

You mean how the search button in-browser results in a search going to bing? Yeah, thats a bit annoying, but I set the home page to google.com and honestly havent had a single instance where i felt like searching when not on the home page and winded up getting results from bing, so...

so your talking about settings/storage/erase sd card? if so i click that and click the option to fromat usb storage and it just takes me back to the previous storage screen still saying total space is univiliable

Yeah there is no confirmation for an "erase all" which is equivalent to a format, I believe. It will take you to the prev. screen and the space reading will still be blank. Then, you can tell it to "mount SD card" and it should populate the storage space showing 14GB card/ 14GB free.

For anyone who experienced the SD card wipe, can you provide the following information so we can try and determine what is causing the SD cards to get wiped and become corrupted:

1) Setup before flashing the Gingerbread leak - ROM, kernel, modem(radio)
2) Are you running just the leaked ODIN build or did you flash the Navenedrob custom ROM
3) If you are running the Navenedrob ROM, did you flash straight to it or did you flash the ODIN leak first
4) Did you root yourself and if so how did you root - Gingerbreak or flash su 2.3.6.1 + busybox 1.19 zip, etc.
5) Did the SD card get wiped only after a few reboots or did it happen without rebooting phone

Hopefully we can find some common denominator that may be causing this, unless the devs are able to identify something in the code that is causing it.

Thank you.

1 - UKB 2.0, otb 1.5, ED03
2 - Odin
3 - n/a
4 - No, root was in ROM
5 - SD wiped on first boot but after a few minutes. Media scanning completed, then shortly after, a notification popped up saying the SD card was removed. After a reboot, the message then said the SD card was blank or an unknown format. When given the option to reformat, nothing would change. Also tried formatting in CWM with mine and another phone, as well as with my PC. All gave related errors that the card could not be mounted or recognised.

I ended up flashing EB01 stock and taking it into Verizon for a replacement card. The tech played with it for a bit in the back room, then came out saying they would replace the card but was trying to find their method on doing so. He then said if it was a Sandisk card, I would have to replace it through Sandisk directly because they couldn't do them in the store for whatever reason. Luckily, I had the Samsung card that came preinstalled. So they replaced it on the spot with... a Sandisk.

Mine just went within the last hour -- no reboot, no apparent cause.

1. Had been running stock Verizon ED04, rooted with su 2.3.6.1 + busybox 1.19 zip
2. Leaked ODIN
3. NA
4. Rooted using su 2.3.6.1 + busybox 1.19 zip
5. Happened without rebooting. Was fine this morning, but when I picked it up just now, the card wiped and corrupted.

1. Was on superclean 2.9.2 no modifications.
2-3. I installed the leaked ROM then flashed the nameless ROM. I did forget to ODIN the recovery, but everything was working fine. I decided I didn't like the ROM so I ODINed back to the leaked GB ROM
4. Just used the nameless ROM for root but never did anything.
5. I shut my phone off at night and charge it. SD card went after one or two power cycles
