Well lets hope Europe has good luck with the 2.1. If that runs smooth, we can all hope the good old USA gets it in the next few days..weeks..months.

Whos kidding who? We all just got @ss-raped on this one.

:P

So we save them in WWII and this is what we get?

And lets tone down the attitudes here. All the forums here lately have taken on childish "I am a man, I need to prove it" attitude.

Official OTA ftw. I'm so sick of ROMs, and that Desire one by Greek35T isn't perfect.

Don't you know ese53 is the same Rom that your winning that they didn't release. So they way I see it sit here and whine. Root and try something else. Or just drop it. Which ever you decide I don't care

It's not even a beta but an alpha or pre alpha

The point still remains quit nit picking just to prove me wrong so you can complain about a pre beta/whatever ROM not operating as a production ROM.

(I know you aren't the one that was complaining)

I think the message here is that we should stop whining about Motorola shafting us. Which means that Verizon is the cause of the delays, whether they're real or imagined. Which, honestly, should come as no surprise, and whining won't change things. Verizon is, has, and always will be insanely picky about the quality of the software their phones run. Whether that improves the said quality is anyones guess, but they still do it.

And I think it's really funny that people complain about not getting this update like its their born-right to get it or something. I remember when we all had dumbphones and we didn't get updates like this, or at least not on anywhere near as constantly. If the battery life or camera sucked, we just had to live with it. So I'm ok with waiting and being patient. I'm also ok with 2.0.1.

Yeah I know what you meant just pointing out that sorry if I came off wrong

I don't much care about 2.1 (all I want is Yahoo integration and live walls), but I mean, they've got 9 days. I'm just hoping not to hear everyone else whine and moan when March 31st rolls around and we're sitting on 2.0.1 (which actually works just fine, contrary to popular belief).

But I probably will whine and moan if it doesn't be the 31st.

Not gonna lie

To be completely honest, I'm expecting it in April. But, for all we know, it's a matter of getting it in the air, and the infrastructure isn't ready for it. It's all up in the air 'til it's... up in the air, lol.

I believe that that text message is talking about re-programming his phone for some reason...OTA updates don't happen like that. They require no intervention to get them to come up on your phone.
