Official 2.2.2 Optimus V

i finally was able to fix the accelerometer but i can't use a custom kernel and battery life seems worse than 2.2.1. I am getting tired of changing roms even with titanium backups.

Well then, you shouldn't change them so much, lol

Because they were linked to a now defunct Dropbox account.

This wasn't an actual rom, it was the raw files, which meant installing through ADB Shell.

If you want a 2.2 rom, either look up "weekend project" a rom built from this, or my 2.2 goodies installer, or Harmonia. The only thing you will miss is the v5 radio update, which we don't know if you will get it from this either.

Small silly question I know but on the original 2.2.1 Optimus V load from VM there was a car traffic app pre configured that now seems to be missing. It displayed a one lamp traffic light which went from red to yellow to green depending on conditions between your location and a programmed location. It would normally sleep and say zzz until you woke it up. Once up for a while it would print on the icon a time estimate to destination.

For some reason this went away in the new distribution and I would like to know where it came from.

uhh WHAT?

sounds like the traffic layer over view in the Google Maps app

I used Bob's recovery returned to stock then straight to backside rom today. When I backed up my stock Tom there's only 4 files in it. No md5 file or android surcure file. Hope its just the way it compressed the files. I noticed in the recovery posted here there was 6 total.

If I knew how to post the recovery I have from my clockword recovery folder I'd give it to u. Its too big to email and I don't know how to post it on here with just my phone. I'm not the smartest when it comes to this stuff and computers

Someone must have it I hope. Lol. Have to stay with gingerbread for awhile. Was gonna give my phone to my son. Still can just hate for him to brick it on accident

Harmonia 1x does not have the menu setting that will brick it and it is Froyo, very stock, and works on old and new phones.

Oh, and I do have it.
I collect roms, haha. Seriously, I have almost all from the OV and OS from the last year and often ina few versions.

222ov.rar
You will need to place these in the appropriate recovery folder on your sdcard.

Thank you very much. I've been jumping from rom to rom for the longest time. Everytime github gets a new rom I try it out. Hope to see u add that battery fix in ur next build. Only issue I get is if its off and charging the phone wont turn on. Maybe that's a safe mode built in so the battery don't over charge. I'd also love to see the video recorder messages get fixed someday.lol every rom seems to have a diffrent limit. This one is 23 secs per txt/ video msg. Keep up the great work. Oh the others seem to cut out at 15 secs.

Oh and last but not least on Jerry's thing on github it shows a v3.11 kernal hope to see that around too unless its his own personal build then that's understandable ;)
