...but seriously, w/ all the politics going on at xda (cm hdmi and orrebmas) i am dying to pick up any info at all on hdmi and saw it may be coming to CM7 from one of the tweets. any news greatly appreciated.

Total newb question here...
I am running build #36 right now and loving it. Is the CM7 Messaging app the 'infamous' messaging app that Google recently admitted to having bugs? Or is it something else? Should I consider a third party app (Handcent, Go SMS, etc.)?

Hey guys Im new to CM& nightlies.. I want to know if theres some sort of backup for apps and settings and all that good stuff. Because i f I have to start over every day that would suck

Im new also but im sure there is... I've heard people talk about a app called titanium something.. And that it saves your apps and stuff but im not to sure on this.

Titanium backup and people also use appbrain. Not sure if appbrain backups data or not. Maybe someone that uses it can jump in but I do know it keeps a list of all your apps
The new app (Word with friends.) Does it not play well with CM7. When I goto Contact List to pick a contact to play no one is showing out of the 200+ number I have in my phone. Anyone have this problem yet?

You don't need to start over everytime you flash a nightly. Just wipe cache and dalvik and flash. No need to wipe data.
Tethering 4G on 004 Supersonic with any CM ginger-rom
Not happening for me. I have used all but like two market apps. I know there is some talk on the forums about it not being supported period, but shinzul also says to flash the 34 kernel and my phone just completely rejects it. I have to stay with .35 baked in and then I get that stupid "sleep of doom"! The only thing I have not done is a system wipe zip. I've played with cm6 Wimax 1,2,3/CM7 WIMAX and CM7WIMAX(MAGNUS). I know it's not a big deal to a lot of people but I get 4g everywhere I go down here. I love the feel of these CM7's but I just can't live without my Heavy G's.
What's up with toasts 37 kernel? Do you guys have any info or links on it?

Just remember that its still in alpha, its close to being "done" or "stable" but that in no way means that all the bugs are worked out of it. Just give it some time, its amazing that they were able to do it at all in my book
Yep, its packed into the latest couple of nightly's. Fixed GPS and overall improvements. No link available, but follow Twitter for constant updates

Oh man!
I think that the rom developers are amazing and I only wish I had the time to even look at how it is all cooked up! I'm so busy with sdk! IThe ginger roms are sweet! I just hate having to restore or forgetting to restore when I really need the g's! I think I'm gonna flash latest nightly to see how the new kernel reacts to the 004. Did one of these nightlies have wimax? I stopped back on #23 or so. I'm patient! The only thing I'm impatient about is Sprint and their wonderful announcements!
I am such an ECHO hater! Kyocera(sanyo)Zio/sprint id/ payback, I guess! :-!Maybe this will fix the wifi issues for some of you guys.
