Seriously, though, this has worked for most. It certainly worked for me. I wonder if there's something quirky about the 003 hardware that's causing the issue?

There are folks on the XDA board with 004 hardware that have the same problem.

Frankly, I didn't expect to have to do anything to get GPS working in a RC ROM. When I flashed CM7, I wiped data and both caches and did a factory reset, but didn't run format_all.zip. That is the only additional step some are suggesting on XDA for those who didn't have success with the Sense ROM and GPS Status fixes. I'll come back to CM7 in a later iteration. Those guys are doing some nice work.

I haven't had any problems with the nightlies or yesterdays RC release and I rooted with unrevoked and my flashing has been fine with rom manager.

Well I tried to flash the CM7 RC1 Twice using Rom Manager and got a error each time.. I give up guess I'm going back to the Nightly's!

Why not just flash from recovery?

Rooted with unrevoked ...also flashing via rom manager and everything is running as smooth as eggs ... a few fc every now and again...but can definitely use this as an everyday rom until the stable version is released

Is anyone having issues sending text msgs on this Rom. I notice when I get to like 140 characters it just keeps cycling when I try to send it.. I have to edit the msg and make it shorter for it to go thru

Ok, so I updated to RC1 with Rom Manager. Well tried... I just have a spinning arrow around the Android guy... What did I do wrong?

No problem man
Well depending on what rom you are coming from the consequenses of not wiping vary...what rom are you coming from? And with a wipe you will loose all data except for your SD cards data. This isn't that big of a deal if you use titanium back up you can restore all your data and apps...

I am coming from the stock ROM. I thought I was cool enough just having it rooted... Now I want more. . I do have Titanium. Should I make sure to run a backup with TI first then wipe and install the ROM?

I got to say, I had very good luck with the nightly builds but for some reason with the RC1 the wifi causes problems. I have it set up to never sleep but there has been a few times that it would freeze up when tring to connect. It would freeze for a few and then go back to the home screen but it was VERY slow. It wouldn't even let me unlock the main screen cause it would be unresponsive. I would have to do a battery pull and then it would be fine. This has only happen about 3 or 4 times and twice today. Other than that I'm happy with it. Going to give #40 a shot

Well there's your problem! Lol.. coming from a sense rom and not flashing can really bork things up leading to boot loops and such...once your back on your working rom you should back up all apps app data ...then wipe everything and flash the rom and the gapps ..then once your in the rom you should go into the market download titanium and rrestore your app data and apps...I suggest not restoring system data...tell me if you have any issues and I will try my best to help

Yea dude no matter what the title says if its not stable for you don't use it. I personally have great results with all of them. Have you done anything out of the ordinary to may have cause this?
