Slightly comical conversation with Samsung US just now.. figured I'd call while getting ready and have it on speakerphone for half an hour, then they answered immediately - a shock in itself.

Lady told me they have been advised that all orders have been shipped and to await tracking information.

ME: Are you saying ALL orders?
HER: Orders have been shipped sir
ME: Are you saying ALL orders or just some - because I know some have
HER: That's what I'm saying - orders have been shipped.
ME: Yes, but ALL, or just some? There's a difference here.
HER: Sir, preorders have been shipped.

In the end, I gave up and said 'thanks for your help'. She didn't get sarcasm and said 'you're welcome'.
 
Actually, just called back to see if I could get someone else.
Call started with 'packaged ready for shipment' and then 'i can't guarantee you will have it today' as she was clearly reading off a script with the whole 'samsung has a commitment to have these devices i the hands of customers today.'
She then got a little exasperated with me refusing to be palmed off and said 'look sir, i know you're in panic mode right now but I can assure you that we are committed to getting this in the hands of customers today as promised, and I have seen it on at least three other accounts where customers have had their phones sent out already even though it doesn't say.'
I asked how on earth they could expect to shop something and have it delivered in the US in the same day and she said it will happen.
Conclusion: Nobody knows what the fig is going on. But the Fedex has doesn't work for me so heaven knows!
 
Pre-ordered mine from Samsung on 4/7. I finally got a shipment notification email from FedEx last night around midnight, and from Samsung this morning around 6am. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow (which I'm a little annoyed by, since delivery was "guaranteed" on 4/20). It says signature required. I did a little research, and according to the FedEx website, you can leave a note on the door with your signature that says it's OK to leave the package. I'll try that and see what happens!

Or you can try to get it delivered to a FedEx location near you and pick it up. I know you can do that in USP. I would suggest calling them up and check.

I just called and they said that it's "ineligible to be held at a FedEx location because the shipper has requested that it go directly to the address" or something along those lines. Guess that's Samsung's way of making sure they get delivered on time? I feel like that'll lead to a lot of ticked of people who missed the signature!
 
Thankfully, my wife was home when FedEx came so mine is waiting for me at home. Glad I don't have to run to the local shipment center tonight, but stuck at work for at least another 5 hours!

Karen - If you miss the delivery usually you can pick it up with the door tag they left you.

You can try leaving one of the these - if you are comfortable having the package left somewhere around your house - I'm not sure if the Carrier restriction will allow this override or not. Worth a try.

Just remember Signature/Name here must match tracking info.

That should work. I just spoke to my wife. She left the house to go to the deli and taped a note to our front door to leave the package. She wrote down the tracking number and who the package was addressed to. When she came back the note was gone and the package was there.
 
Got my phone and VR about an hour ago! So far liking it. It was only charged to 43 percent so I have it charging up for awhile before I transfer all my apps and data over. A lot better typing and using the phone overall compared to my s7 Edge which is too small for me! I will keep the Edge as a backup phone mainly to use with my VR set.
 
You guys are getting your phones? I pre ordered mine from Samsung on march 30th, and received the order confirmation
email but never received any tracking info even tho they said it would be delivered today.. Ive tried contacting Samsung via phone and chat but keep getting the message that all associates are busy no matter how long i wait for them... Grrr
 
Anybody else still showing as pre-order on the Samsung website and not had any tracking information? Starting to feel I am the only one now
 
I'm like you philliplavelle! My order still says "PREORDER" and there hasn't been any update on the Samsung website and nothing in FedEx. The charges on my debit card from 4/13 were gone this morning. I'm guessing they expired since it has now been a week against my account without actually taking the money.
It's very frustrating, I wouldn't even care if they changed the order status to say they're preparing it and it wouldn't ship out for weeks, I just want some sort of verification that something is happening with it. I've talked to them on the phone and although they said multiple times that the phones would be received by today, they couldn't tell me specifically if my order was being worked on or was shipped.
I can see the PREORDER status, but if I click on the link that says "Can't find your order? Please click here >" I'm told I don't have any orders. Where are you located? Could our orders be coming from the same warehouse?
 
For anyone who can see shipment progress through FedEx, but not Samsung.com yet... did you have any bank activity from Samsung yet?
 
Got mine about 2 hours ago and I'm transferring data from my iPhone 6+ to it. I'm red and green color blind but the screen looked kinda suspect reddish. I'm in the library so I just now called a young lady over who said compared to my iPhone the screen does not look reddish, which is a relief.

I just spoke to the first helpful person. She said that she was going to find out what has happened and I think I believed her.

She told me that they authorised my card on the 13th and that expired. So they have just reauthorised again. They will have it with me tomorrow and the tracking number and a $50 voucher will be sent later today to me and all customers who have been waiting for something that clearly didn't arrive.

She said that it will definitely arrive tomorrow so I hope she is right although not holding out hope.

That's great news! I hope you do get your phone, with the voucher tomorrow.

I'll try calling when I get out of work. Hopefully they can try authorizing my card again. I've been told they can't do that, or take different/backup payment information from me. But maybe I'll get lucky and reach someone that is helpful today.

As I've said, I don't care how long it takes to deliver as long as they can verify that my order is actually being worked on, which they haven't yet. They've only said "Everyone will get their phones on 4/20." (obviously that wasn't true), when I'd rather hear "Yes, I can see that your order is being processed."
 
My clock is 1 hour ahead on the automatic date and time setting provided by my network. I had to set it manually and turn off automatic. When I turn it on automatic it goes back to Korean time and 1 hour ahead AM instead of PM. Weird.

Has everyone received their phones? I ordered on the 30th, got confirmation text message from at&t on the 18th that was shipped but UPS still says "ready for UPS" with no tracking 😕
