I received the promo item today from Fedex. Had to sign for it too. It's a dock with essentially an extension usb-c cable built in to a passive megaphone style speaker. So, you would plug your usb-c cable into the back and push your phone onto the stand to charge it and listen to the phone through the bottom firing speaker. My Nexus 6p fits into it just fine. However, the speakers are front firing, so I can't, obviously, hear what it sounds like. I imagine Bose like sound reproduction.

thanks for the update. mine is set to arrive this afternoon according to FedEx tracking. I'm curious to hear how it sounds althought I don't currently have a USB-C device with down firing speakers. I may set my iPhone 7+ on top of the USB-C plug and see if it's enough to let the down firing speaker hit the amplifier. Probably not but worth a try

I ordered on the 30th at 130 am through Sprint and still no tracking number. Just hoping I get it by Wednesday next week, because that's my day off and I work 12 hours on Thursday.

I was still paying off my Note 5 through Sprint and had a few months of payments left. Was planning on getting the S8+ when the Note 5 was paid off.
Then the Bluetooth on my wife's Note 3 stopped working. Tried to get it going on her phone trying everything short of factory reset with no luck. Told her it was factory reset time and that it was most likely due to an app. She did not want to go through that.
So paid off the balance of the Note 5 and pre-ordered the S8+ through Sprint on 3/31/2017. She was going to take my hand me down Note 5.
Then a week ago her Bluetooth started working, the app causing the issue probably was fixed in an update. Now she says she might not upgrade right now.
Oh well, I am caught up in the hype of this awesome phone, not going to cancel the pre-order now.

Ordered 30th through Samsung. Just got email that my order is confirmed and being processed. Likely to ship on Monday. Yay
