Official Gingerbread for the Captivate?

Glad I looked here before following through with the Gingerbread upgrade. Looks like it doesn't work. Wonder why they released it.

Trying to download Angry Birds into my phone, but it keeps failing and telling me there's "insufficient storage," even though I only have 4 other apps installed (Google Music, Facebook, Twitter, and Words With Friends), only 5 photos and no music stored on the device. My task manager says I have 1.87GB available on internal phone storage and 13.03GB available on my internal SD card, so what's the problem?

Works fine. The Samsung Infuse 4G Gingerbread update doesn't work. I haven't had any issues and I've had my Captivate since release day and installed 2.2 and 2.3 on release day.

This is sometimes a permissions problem. Check the xda forum, they have the specifics.

I too am experiencing the tethering message. It happens any time i connect my charger or turn off/on wifi. It happens approx 3 times and freezes the screen for a few seconds before appearing. Its annoying and a pain. Enough to make me want to throw my phone out the window.

i just read on another thread that the way to fix the teathering issue is to do a Factory reset.. :-( not looking forward to it.. but here I go..

Hello guys and gals. I'm living this update but I've been having an issue with my wireless network shutting down. Wiring will stay connected but instead of the usual "bars" I will have a circle with a line through it. Has happened 2 times while charging and a few other random times. I missed a call for my job at 4 am because of this.....any help would be much appreciate......thanks!

Is anyone here experiencing enough benefit to say the update is worthwhile?

Is everyone having issues?

Should I just suck it up and go cyanogen or something?

I'm not having any issues on stock GB. Phone is faster overall, boots up faster, and generally is smoother.
