I didn't see the Gingerbread update on my DInc this morning -- checked the System Updates screen a few times.

Anyone get the update? If so, any bugs or problems?

Thanks.

Re: No official update, yet. Anyone?

This update is probably going to be like the Froyo one, in that it will roll out slowly.I would say the update is probably going to take a couple of days to reach everyone. Remember... Patience is a virtue.

Re: No official update, yet. Anyone?

I'm not really concerned about rushing the update. I'm just hoping to hear about bugs from anyone that gets it before me. :)

I read - probably here at AC - the schedule is something like:
Today - 10,000 updates
Wed - 50,000 updates
Fri - everyone else

<edit> I changed the title of the OG post to reflect the info I'm really looking for. Thanks for the feedback.

I think VZW said there would be only 10,000 today. If anyone gets it, download and install alogcat from the market and run alogcat before accepting the OTA and let us know. This way we can capture the URL of the update and people can get it faster if they want, and we can root it faster. ;)

installed alogcat & ready to go. just waiting for the update.

My Dinc said it updated over the weekend but when i look at my version numbers its still froyo (android version 2.2) and the software number is 3.26.605.1

I think it bit the dust and reapplied the old foyo update now i have to go re-install my apps because they are all crashing until i do so :( anyone else seen this? ... if this is the update we are getting vzw can keep it.

That's the current Froyo build that we're all using now. That wasn't the new update.

Look under hardware, in settings. See if your Dinc lists a 4.3" screen after the update. also, go into the market, scroll down to Editors pick. It said Verizon under it yesterday. Now it says SPRINT :p

I got Version 2.3.4 Software Version 4.06.605.3 earlier this morning. If this is the update everyone is talking about, it completely JACKED up my downloaded apps. I've tried resetting my phone, rebooting and nothing is working. I'm getting all kinds of error messages and the Android Market isn't working right. I turned on my phone this morning and there was a message about a system update and I accepted the update. I wish I could undo the damn thing! PISSED!!!!!

Got the update at 6am this morning. Works like a charm. I did have to redownload apps that were on my card. But working fine now. If I would've known about pulling card and reinserting I would've tried that. But all is well now. Seems to run nice and smooth. When my hubby gets home I'll use his phone to capture the link since he hasn't updated yet.

Word to the wise!

Before accepting the Update, move all your apps from the SD card to the phone...

Once you install the update, do a hard boot (powerdown and remove the battery).

Then you should be able to move your app's back to the SD card and have them.

This update friggin stinks. It totally screws up your apps. I had to move them ALL to my phone storage in settings and that seems to fix it. But now not sure if I can move them back to SD and if they will then be OK.

Can I still move them back to SD?

Answered my own question. No you can't just move it to phone storage then move it back to your SD card. I did that with 1 app to test and it worked, but then I rebooted and the app disappeared again until I moved it back to phone storage. What a load

(edit) n/m. he got his answer here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...ners-part-2-updates-avail-13.html#post1226628 (/edit)

It's a pretty safe bet that VZW will be pushing another update soon to fix the Sprint branding and whatever else. I'd submit complaints to VZW support ASAP so they can see what's going wrong & maybe fix it.

Thank you, but no need to. It was captured and posted yesterday (somewhere within this forum).

Never had a low space warning until the update. Wth? Don't have a ton of apps, am stock, keep messages down to minimum, clear out cache once in a while. I don't get it.
