Here's a pic with a PT case (aka Seidio Surface) and I'm using 1 of the 2 black pads that came in the box on the bottom right otherwise it wouldn't be level.

Here's a fun fact. If you are wearing polarized sunglasses, the display looks perfect when the EVO is held in the vertical (portrait) position, but is very dark (almost black) when in the horizontal (landscape) position. This is due to the fact that the EVO's display is also polarized, and turning it 90 degree blocks the remaining un-polarized light coming from the EVO's display. This makes docking the EVO (horizontally, at least) a tricky proposition. Try it out. It's interesting AND annoying. :-!

That is the ugliest eyesore of a car dock for such a sleek sexy phone I have seen in a long time..... it looks more like a glasses holder

The Evo 4G LTE phone is a little hard to slide into the dock when used without a case. The reason is that the phone has pretty "steep" ledge going from the aluminum side to the female microUSB. When used together with a case it's easy, then it usually slides right in.

I found that if I tilt the phone forward just a little bit as I'm sliding it in, it goes in easily. With or without a case.

I purchased this dock as well, and after using 3 knock offs in the past, I'm extremely pleased with the product. It doesn't snap into place; you set it in the unit, and pull down the top clip.

Most importantly, it doesn't shake when I drive. Nothing is more annoying than that.

Yeah, it's rare to find an after market car dock that doesn't shake when driving on bumpy roads. That's the one thing I look for when I purchase a car dock. If it shakes, it's going back.

It's not, it's the Sprint branded dock. I too bought one for $35 at a Sprint Corp store since it's unknown if HTC will produce an OEM version for the EVO LTE. If they do I'll buy it.
