Mac connectivity?!?

I updated the phone this morning and now I can no longer connect to my mac. When I connect to the computer, all that comes up on the desktop is a cd image with some verizon drivers for PC. When I eject that image, my fascinate gives me the option to mount. However, when I mount from the phone, the mac sits for several minutes and gives an "unreadable media" message. Any thoughts out there? It has to be either DL09 or OSX 10.6.6 (they were both just updated).

Finally!!

OK, it's not Froyo but the new OTA update today made an extreme difference in the GPS lock time on my phone. I was a little worried after restarting the phone after the update since it sat there for a long time with the flashing Verizon thingy. But after the update I fired up the GPS test (Chartcross) program. Turned GPS standalone on and in less than 15 seconds it had found and locked onto 7 satellites--and this was in my living room!!! It used to take 5 minutes when inside the house. Took it out to the car and typed in a new destination that was previously unknown to the phone. Phone found and locked on to satellites and was navigating in about 4 seconds. Prior to the update most cold navs took 2-3 minutes to lock. I can wait for Froyo awhile. This thing is now truly awesome!

No stupid iPhone for me. I am a member of AA. (Appleholics Anonymous). Sad to say, prior to 2000 I was an Apple fanboy. Been clean for over 10 yrs.

got the update...totally stock prior and present...gps is locking in 10-20 sec before it was 3-5 min...yeah! However, I'm experiencing more bad than good. Battery life is much shorter used to go up to around 14 hours, i'm not a heavy user, now i'm charging at 3pm. I've had launcher pro since purchase of the phone (sept.) and had no issues, now my facebook calender won't sync some b-days while others will be repeated up to 3 times for the same day(I've checked only the fb cal. sync in settings) on both the LP calender widget and smooth calender widget(i have cleared cache, uninstalled & reinstalled all facebook, smooth cal. and LP.) Widgets are also defaulting to their previous size upon reboot. One last issue I've worked around somehow is on my homescreens some icons would be half on and half off the screen.

did the update, now have the following issues:
media sync connection failed, what is up with this?
new symbol appears. looks like crosshairs with waves on left side. can not find what this is.

That is the new GPS/location services symbol. It is there for good

Just got the update and it fixed a bluetooth issue I was having. Before the update I was not able to stream audio to my TV (Mits WD-73838) from my or my fiances fascinate (old BB Storm1 I had laying around worked fine). I tested it immediately after the update and now it works great!

got it! seems like its more responsive and snappy. still having issues with gps... but thats what my garmin is for.

i just wish i could get rid of the stupid vz stock apps. theyre taking up precious space.

ota updates come in waves. dont worry, youll get it soon enough. just make sure to check for updates in settings -> about phone

if you have battery issues, why don't you download the juice defender app? it works wonders for me, i only have to charge every other day now, AND i listen to music on my commute to and from work. noice

Installed the update, seems to work fine. The backlights stay on a little longer, but still not as long as the screen. Not sure if this is intended. The GPS system seemed to be working extremely well the first time I used it down to a couple of feet, but now a fudge-factor of some 50 feet is back again. NOW GIVE US FROYO. I want my phone to run faster.

Finally got it the server was down for 2 days...

My GPS starts up faster still not as fast as my Galaxy Tab but fast enough. I'll check my bluetooth tomorrow. My jawbone always start up the voice dialler instead of contacts.

I have an apple at work I plugged it in yesterday and it showed up as a new network I didn't set it up. Maybe tomorrow I'll try that too.

Okay after voice dialer comes on it says "please say a command" finally....

Now to see if I can get Track Master to work at the next SCCA event...
