anyone discovered anything cool or bad?
first thing i noticed is theres more developer options i dont understand anyone found any coolness or apps that fail?
any new TW features?

oh and Butter is subtle but there might set the animation scalings back to normal in dev' options

can disable notifications from specific apps in the screen where you can force close/uninstall. pretty whenyou have an app pushing spam ads.

we also have around 50-60mb more ram free.although more ram seems to be used than before.

just got my update via Kies...

I havnt played much as yet but first thing I have noticed is that the LED while charging seems very dim not as bright as it was before on ICS? this may be a battery saving thing but not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

LED slightly dimmer. Anyone notice the low speech volume on Google Now? I can barely hear it.

havent noticed the led but i use lightflow.
Now doesnt talk to me, how does that work?
and how do expandable notifications work? all ive noticed is the long-press to get app info...

TIP: use Custom ICS Search widget, make the box and "google" icon transparent, make the microphone whatever colour you want, add the widget then resize to as small as possible so you have a tiny icon to tap and talk straight to Now

Blocking mode is a brilliant addition to touchwiz, got it set from 23:00 till 06:00 every night now no more annoying emails waking me up.

I would like to see Google/Samsung add an accounts option so I can block my work email and contacts when I'm not in work though.

Go to settings >blocking mode> turn on then go into the options now you can select constantly on ideal for short time use or time settings and can be set as described. There is various options for phone calls all notifications etc and also the led notification as well. You can add contacts that come through no matter what so families etc can still ring through and the normal ring tone notification volume will apply.


It's a good addition if you don't want those annoying emails that decide to come through at 4am to wake you up with having to manually set your phone to silent.

does it annoy you how when you select something and it gives you a choice of apps to use and you can set one as default but dont want to.. on ICS you just tapped the one u wanted, on JB you have to tap it and then tap "this time only"?

Yeah that is annoying, however I have got used to it a bit after that dialer hack thing and using Link buster for all the shortened urls.

Yes maybe I should of explained that lol. Link buster is an app in the play store that you can use to open short urls, when you open them in the app it shows you what the full url is and also gives you ratings on the site and its security.
