If one long presses the button on a headset used to stop or skip songs, moto voice or ok google starts. How can one disable that from happening without turning off moto voice.

The problem is that once moto voice or ok google starts because the button is pressed, the screen stays lit until I press the on/off button to it the phone to sleep.

What happens is that sometimes I push and hold the button too long when I am listening to music and then the voice mode starts and drains the battery.

This is problematic when phone is in a pocket

Nope. I tried that before I created the thread. I just tried again. That is the only thing I could think of.

I guess I will just have to turn Voice control off altogether if I want to solve this issue. Too bad because I do like Moto Voice.

Hopefully someone else will come along with another suggestion.
