OK I've had it....this phone is awesome!!!!!

I think it's a towers issue for some. My phone has misbehaved in other cities. It lags gray when I drive downtown but comes back (sometimes I'll toggle it back).

My Galaxy Nexus has rebooted once which is light years better than my Droid X which at its worst rebooted several times a day.

I love this phone - its the best device I've ever had.

I love my gnex and its working flawlessly for me. The new 4.0.4 radios have actually improved my signal tremendously and now get no less then 3 4g bars where before I was getting 1-2.

Maybe not everyone is lucky to have these radios fix their issues but it sure as hell fixed my only issue with this phone.

Plus with Francos kernel, setCPU and juice defender battery life has never been better

This is a shameless post to bump this to the top. I really would like this thread to outshine all the hate threads.

Can you tell I freaking love this phone?

That's a thought. I wonder if there is also the possibility that it has something to do with how ICS interacts with LTE.

I'd also like to add on. I love mine. This is the first phone that I've had in a long time where I'm not sitting and waiting to see what is released next.

Agreed. I dunno about people who have constant issues with the GN - there must be a dozen people at work that have the launch day version of the phone and love it.

Mine isn't launch day (I only got it a few weeks ago), but its better than my Droid X in every respect - reception, call quality, speed and reliability.

Its by far the best device I've ever owned - ever.

I got a launch day one. Love it... so much better phone and mobile computer than the thunderbolt. Do I miss being able to browse while on 3g... well I would if I hadn't moved to a solid 4g area around the same time. Love this phone.

I, too, have the original one from launch day. I haven't had signal issues and left it stock for a month or so until the development community had some interesting software to try. After finally unlocking/rooting, I have found the AOKP (open kang) roms are the most stable, offer the most extra features and greatly improve the functionality of an already awesome phone.

Same here. I have 4G issues on a daily basis but it isn't enough to make me trade the phone. Big fan.

Best device hands down!
Galaxy Nexus FTW!

I'm always on!

I think the device is a fantastic. Only thing that's making me switch is the complete loss of data and voice. I'm on my third device. It's a hardware problem. Not all devices suffer from this. I love how open it is. I'm also rooted running the latest radios and newest 4.0.4. Just like its a 4.65 screen, but only get 4.3 of screen use with the on screen keys. I'm not complaining or whining, but for me, the device can not do its basic function. To make phone calls. I'm dropping data multiple times throughout the day. I'm in a STRONG 3G area. Next to by tbolt, DB on the nexus is 93-100. Tbolt db is 73. Samsung gimped the device with horrid radios and camera. This is my opinion and my experience with the device. I shouldn't have to reboot or wait 10 or more minutes for the data/voice to return.

Got mine in February, i was well aware of the 'issues" it had. i did experience some connectivity issues at work (not great 4g, but had 4g on my thunderbolt, 3g mostly on nexus)
however, i went into this phone KNOWING i was going to Root and ROM it. its just what i do. and i have nothing but GREAT things to say about this Phone. i absolutely LOVE it. and even after the HTC One phones, and the SGS3 announcement, i am still extremely happy with the phone and wont even consider selling it.

I couldn't have asked for a better entry to the smartphone world. It has no weakness that I can see for my purposes. I even like the camera. Clearly the best, most well rounded phone on the market. SIII ShmesIII.

This last weekend my GNex saved me a lot of headache. I had a gig in St. Paul, MN..it gets confusing round there..never been to this place. Punch in the address to Maps, bam, gets me there through construction and everything. Then I forgot my wallet at home (Fargo, ND). Bam, used Wallet to get me some McD's. All in all, just saying thank you to my phone. I know it will appreciate this post

Loved my phone in Chicago.

Was on the phone while navigating at the same time. Then listened to internet radio while navigating.

On foot, maps allowed me to navigate the best bus routes, told me which bus was coming next. I was then able to triangulate my position so I could see where my stop was.

Used maps to find the closest pizza joint. While waiting for my deep dish pizza, I was able to edit and post all my chicago photos. Which included panoramic photos View attachment 25491

Tethered priceline to score $77/night at the downtown for star Hyatt and found an external parking lot for $26/night.

Or I coulda not had a smart phone. Or one not as nice.

I'm on my second device and minus the occasional random reboot it's been tremendous as far as data connectivity and voice quality and the battery life is what i expected going in. It's nice to see a thread on here without people complaining or saying they are giving up on the phone. I almost stopped frequenting the site because of the countless threads containing complaints.
