NOW that Samsung has announced that the Note II failed final testing and has CANCELLED their upgrade Lollipop...
Is it worth rooting 4.4.2 to 5.mumble given the weirdness (that I now fully understand and actually agree with) regarding the SD card on 4.4+ ?
Can't post links yet. Look on AndroidPolice for "External Blues: Google Has Brought Big Changes To SD Cards In KitKat, And Even Samsung Is Implementing Them"
.....Is it worth rooting to Lollipop using the CM mod given:
1. There is an entirely new mechanism in 5.0 for SDcards that is so much friendlier to app developers and users.
Can't post links yet. Look on AndroidPolice for: "Android 5.0 Makes SD Cards Great Again, Extends API To Allow Full Directory Access, Automatic MediaStore, And Improves Security"
2. There is a way to remove TouchWiz, which has been blamed for a huge loss in speed (IS THAT TRUE?), therefore making Lollipop usable again?
Thanks!
