OMG! Video playing broken after bad update!!!

I just tried to play a movie (MP4) using four different video players and none of them worked. In fact. several of them locked up. I was able to play some of the short music videos but the movies won't play. They played fine before the "update."

Anyone else having this problem??

Tried using the Youtube dedicated app to watch a video clip and it locked mine up as well. Here's to hoping they get a hotfix out the door soon over at Samsung!

Oddly, it will play some of the short music video files I have. When it comes to full length movies, it just locks up. I tried using the native player, QuickPic player, Moboplayer, Vplayer and one other. These movies used to play normally.

I reported it to Samsung and they told me my unit was defective because they don't show the update causing that problem. They told me I could send it in for free... so I did. I figure I can live without it for a week and I'll know they will get it all cleaned up.

some good customer service there, although I have read that the dodgy update caused some video playing issues.

Yeah, I thought the "ship it back" option was a little extreme but I honestly just thought I wanted it all cleaned up and either reverted back or properly updated by professionals. I know I couldn't screw around with Odin (or whatever that program is that helps you roll back the update).
