One Device (Tegra Note 7) Will Not Connect to Chromecast

Hey, I tried searching in forums but its difficult to find a good keyword with my problem.

My chromecast is up and working, and two phones (an LG G2 and Nexus 4) and my laptop (an Acer Windows 8.1) can connect to it just fine, but my tablet (Tegra Note 7) Can't connect. I've tried cycling through wifi on and off, and forgetting then reconnecting to wifi, and turning the tablet and chromecast on and off. Noting seems to work.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: One Device wont connect to Chromecast

Does it see the Chromecast and just not connect or is it not seeing it?

Have you taken all of the OTA's? You're also definitely connected to the same wireless network as the Chromecast correct?

Darth Spock, It does not identify the Chromecast at all, be it in the Chromecast app or another Chromecast enabled app.

Kevin O'Quinn, Yes, the device is definitely connected to the same Wi-Fi. Where I live there is only one router. And OTA's for what?

That was weird my quite was wrong. You're on 4.3 correct?

No, I am on 4.4 on all my devices. Unless you mean the Chromecast in which case I am unaware of how to update it let alone check the version

That is fine. By chance do you have some sort of security software on the Tegar note that might block network traffic.

I assume you have tried all the Google apps that work with the CC and not just one?

Do you have a dual band router and could the Tegra note be on the 5ghz band?

Can you connect from the tegra note to other devices on your network. And vice versa.

Just wanted to chime in here, the Tegra Note 7 is only single band 5Ghz WiFi.
EVGA Forum Article where they say the Note 7 is single band only. Nvidia cited this as the reason there was no gamestream support as in the shield.

Just got my Tegra Note7 today.
Chromecast doesn't work with my chrome browser. I reinstalled twice.
It *does* work with the YouTube app. I came here seeking an answer myself.

I'm trying to get my HBO Go working. The app says to use Chrome to cast. But I want to cast the browser in general as well.

My tech wizardry skill is rather low once I get past reinstall. Seems like a chrome specific issue if YouTube is working.

I don't believe casting from mobile Chrome is supported yet. I think it is still in beta.

Casting from Chrome on the desktop is though.

HBO Go has native CC support also.

I've got a Tegra Note 7 and it works just fine with my Chromecast. I've not had any issues.

Indeed it is, but so far for me it works very well - I've got Android Chrome Beta installed on my devices alongside the regular Android Chrome and have used the former to cast a variety of video from the web (works with Plex too as an alternative to the paid app).
