My question is if 1+6 was the same price as other flagship phones would people still buy it? Because being 300 or 400 dollars less I can see the interest and bargain if you can do without couple features.
I would not. Personally I have always owned flagship phones, but got lured into the 1+6 and it has been a huge headache. I had constant signal issues and thinking it was T-Mobile added a ATT SIM card and it has its own share of issues. Reception is bad for all carries at my work and if I am out of coverage for a period of time even when I go into coverage area the phone struggles to grab a signal and lock on. I can sit there in strong signal areas and what it drop from service and go back in or not even be able to connect until I toggle airplane mode to force it to resync with signal. And while having dual SIMS is cool, the phone does not know how to handle voice mail when you get it, I have to call myself and log into voice mail to be able to delete messages. Using good hardware specs with a marginal implementation is not making up for the discounted price so at the same price as a Pixel, Samsung S9 or iPhone I would never touch this phone. I am about ready to send it in for server pick up a cheap Moto for a few months and order either a Pixel 2 XL when price drops prior to Pixel 3 or just eat the cash and get a Pixel 3 XL.
It might be the area you in where coverage is bad but can't say this phone sucks ,it's the same as s9 with snapdragon 845 with same bands might want talk to your carrier about your situation..try factory reset or network reset see if it helps or even swapping the Sim in the other spot ..by the way if you get a Moto you be even more disappointed compared to s9 or op6
This is a phone issue, even when I get back in a good area the phone can't grab and lock onto a signal at times, from both TMobile and ATT. My wife's iPhone going in same areas is fine, actually does not even loose the signal, get a tad choppy, but stays connected. I could be standing still in a known good coverage area and no signal, toggle airplane mode on then off and bam requires signal and full strength. Very buggy. And again does this with both ATT and TMobile.
Then I suggest you talk to one plus about it if you tried other possible options
No one should bash any manufacturer unless all efforts to resolve it was not done by the manufacturer or person ...I run a business and wouldn't like someone bashing me unless I didn't try to resolve the issue ...good luck and hope you get it resolved
