Oneplus 7 pro google voice keyboard missing words annoying issue

One of the first things I noticed when I picked up my 1P7P last month.

Sucks because it really came in handy when driving or also in my particular case, out riding my bike.
Yeah ...hopefully a update fixes it

I was able to fix the issue by uninstalling GBoard. When you uninstall it it reverts back to an older version of the keyboard. So not sure if this is an issue specific to GBoard or the OnePlus 7 Pro, but this seems to have fixed it for now. Hopefully a future update of either the GBoard or OnePlus 7 Pro fixes this.

New update to Gboard in the play store

Update: Google text to speech update through play store yesterday and seems good so far

I also do not use voice dictation hardly ever except the rare occasion while driving. So I just tested mine and it works just fine for me. No missed words. Of course you can't talk to it like you might a real person sitting next to you. I talk more deliberately, and enunciate clearly, and it never misses a word for me??? YMMV

Running Android 10 by the way.

Honestly I was so disappointed with it I stopped trying it completely.

Will give it another shot..

so i got the oneplus 7t to try it out because i prefer the flat screen to the curved.. same exact issue on that. theres an issue with it on the oneplus software. thats 3 different models of oneplus phones that it does it on. so its not just me. this is an issue.

has nothing to do with enunciating or clear speaking. watch my video on page 1. the mic doesnt turn on right away. it takes a second to click on and missing works. if you hit the mic button and start talking right away it misses words. i have had 3 phones from oneplus do it. its def an issue

Sorry but mine works just as expected. In fact I started talking the moment I hit the mic button on the keyboard and I even spoke quicker than I normally would and it did NOT miss a word! I wonder if it has to do with a persons accent??? I come from the upper Midwest so I speak like newscasters do...no twang or anything like that. I don't know what to say???
