Optimus S "Sending.." Text Message Bug

Hey there guys! Wanted to post this forum. I am using an Optimus S by Sprint.. updated to Gingerbread 2.3.3. There seems to be a bug in the text messaging that occurs every once in a while. When I replied to my friend the other night via Text Message.. after I got done typing, I hit the send button and "locked" my phone... 2 hours later, I found that the message said "Sending..." and I had full coverage and everything.. even 3G.. and I am subscribed to Sprint's Everything Data Plan with Unlimited Texing.. and Texting works fine, but this bug kicks in about once a week! Any Suggestions? Thanks.

It's not limited to just GB. I have this same problem occasionally and I'm still on 2.2.

I have had that to. I think it occurs when the signal is switching between towers. It happens alot at my house where I am between 2 weak towers, but have had it happen with seeming full signal too.
