Where do you see Social Location? I see an app called social networking but not Social Location..

I see it in the apps folder. I have folder organizer installed and after the update, the folder organizer app asked what folders do I want the app Social Location to be associated with. I had thought my 2 year old installed something. But it came with the update.

I have downloaded 4 times with no problem, but when it goes to install it stops about a third of the way in and says install failed. Have done soft resets and battery removal twice to no avail, any ideas?

While it's installing in recovery hit vol up+ down at the same time and it will tell you where it's erroring out

I believe the Social Location app replaced Rich Location app.

I also noticed the sprint zone widget has a new look.

did you ever find out what was wrong. I am getting a similar error, except im not even getting to the install. Once it downloads and I choose install the phone reboots comes back to home screen and says update failed.

Everytime these updates come out, I go and look for updates and a pop up comes up saying check for updates isn't available now and to check back later. My phone was rooted when I first bought it but the first small update unrooted in and I have redone root yet. I've reset the phone many times, updated profile, battery pulled. not sure why it won't even search for it.

It looks like it works on mine.

So far this has been a non-event. I looked down and saw that it was updating. Then it asked to install, so I said, "go ahead". I haven't noticed any differences. Glad that moto is supporting the device, though.

If you have added any type of mods to ur photon the update will not work. It will constantly fail. If you have deleted any essentail apps using titanium or root explorer that must be installed for the update to work properly it will fail. if u have done that u will need to restore ur phone using rsd lite. Head over to xda forums for some more info on how to do so.

I am not rooted, update went good, don't know if it was part of the OTA but my 4G signal is alot stronger than before. getting 4G signal where I couldn't before.

i had the same thing happened. mine hung at 98%. i pulled the battery then hit sync while on WIFI and it finally prompted me to install. when it rebooted i saw that folder organizer asked about social location.

in my drop down it says download will start in wifi/ off peak mode, im on wifi and normal sync settings going.

My Photon is doing the exact same thing.

I called Motorola. The guy had me try it again, do a soft reset, do a hard reset (remove battery and hold power button for 10 seconds), same thing. He resent the update to my phone, same thing.

Guy says I need to do a master reset (and lose everything). There has to be another way! Or another reasons why my device will not install the update. I am not rooted or anything like that... Any other apps or software that could be disrupting the install?

Same problem with me. Even tried the web installer on the Motorola site and it says my phone isn't fully powered on.

i said scew it and used the sbf file from xda, worked like a charm

I am rooted and mine appeared to hang up as well when it was installing, but I just let it sit for a bit and didn't touch and it went through. 45.3.5 update has been successful. It may appear to hang up during install and progress looks like it stops, but just let it sit and it will load.

I just manually installed the latest SBF file. Could you all tell me if 45.3.6 is the latest build number? Thanks!
