OTA available on Verizon Galaxy Note 3

Just saw mine was available and started download...will see how it goes.

It took about the 12 minutes it said it would and I notice no change except the visual voice mail thingy which I think is a free trial and not free basic visual voice mail...we shall see. The battery icon is white...i have not gone through setting but music and other downloads all seem to be accessible. I use novaprime and see no changes there either.

Getting a error unable to load after downloading and trying to install it. Anybody else getting this?

My only complaint is I can no longer press the home button to light my screen up while the s view cover is installed. The cover was designed to prevent it, but my tempered glass allowed it to work until the update.

Minus my small annoyance I'm pleased with what I'm seeing and glad I got the update.

Same here. I use the free nova launcher that looks okay.

I think there's a few more settings that I've never seen before but I have no idea what to do with either.

I'm pretty sure the basic voicemail isn't a trial. Mine asked me to subscribe to it and did tell me it would be free.

Took one picture to see if it would save to my sd card and it seems to have done that which was a big concern of mine.

Not crazy about the white battery icon though everything looks too much the same.

It did kick out my wifi and a few other settings that I just went in and reset.

I did reboot before the upgrade and I'm going to reboot again now.

So, I guess the "dirty deed" is done and we'll see how it goes.

I just tested the basic voicemail. It looks like what they've done is given us a free 30 day trial of the premium voicemail and I would imagine if you don't subscribe to the premium voicemail it will just revert to basic voicemail after the 30 days. At least that's the way it looks to me.

The premium voicemail does look pretty cool but it really grates on me to have to pay three bucks a month extra which I currently do not do. Of course maybe the price went up too, I don't know.

There was a note in the disclaimer saying you may have yo call your carrier to get the premium charge dropped...it just yanks my chain that they act like they are giving you something and then You are gonna have to spend half an hour on the phone with customer service to get the charge removed.

I didn't see that thanks for mentioning it. And I totally agree, if its a free trial you should have to subscribe to it if you want it after the trial is over it should not automatically just switch over so you have to fix it later.

At the end of the 30 day trial you get a notification pop up asking if you want to subscribe to the $2.99/mo or not. Just a couple of clicks of a button - no calling customer service for me or my husband's note 3 when the free trials were up.

I haven't downloaded the Verzion version of KitKat yet, but I like what I'm reading so far. Sounds like Verizon got it right. Maybe by Friday I will install KitKat on my Verizon Note3.

Got my update to KitKat yesterday via OTA on verizon. Verizon took forever but so far so good. The voice mail corrected itself about 30 minutes later.

I got this update the other day. I am now on 4.4.2 and it went very smoothly, downloaded in about 15 minutes over wifi
and installed without any problems. It's been running smoothly for about 9-10 days now. No major malfunctions...

Downloaded KitKat with OTA approx 5 days ago and I'm satisfied with it so far. NO problems to speak of except I had to call Verizon concerning the Preimum Visual Voicemail, it was immediately corrected and my Note3 has been running EXCELLENT.

Got the OTA first day and no major problems. Some minor issues with sd cards and certain apps, but there are other apps that can do what I need
