Mine is "unpacking" right now. Maine me a little nervous that it is taking a while to do so. Going on 15+ minutes. The bar moves, just not as fast as I remember my OG DROID doing when it was upgrading to a new dessert.

Just woke up this morning and checked for update. Its finally here! I've read alot of posts saying to move music and media off if the sd card before downloading the upgrade. My question is, can i simply remove my sd card before downloading and reinstall after its done?

I think they were referring to the HOB method. Move your stuff off of the SD card before downloading the file from that.

Also, for reference for others, it took my phone just about a half hour from the time I pressed the install now button until the unlock screen came back up.

Got the update this mornin.. of course I would be one with problems.. clicked download.. and for the past 15 minutes its.been saying the upgrade is downloading.. but I have no notification of it..

So i should be fine leaving everything on my card? Also, due to data drops i turned off 4g a long time ago. Do i need to turn it back on before download?

Well, mine downloaded and installed and rebooted but now I don't have cell service.... I've rebooted and still nothing.

Finally got the notice that the update was available. Tried to download and it got stuck at 0% with the message "Download Suspended. Will Resume Shortly" After about 20 minutes I decided to reboot. Same problem. After about 30 minutes, I decided to reboot again and It downloaded fine. Seemed to install fine, but then got to a spot where it said "Android updating. Updating media database." Got stuck there for about 30 minutes. From what I've read, the more stuff you have on your SD card, the longer this part will take. But other than that, it went pretty good. It seems a little smoother and quicker. Not a ton, but noticeable. Only had ICS for about an hour so far, but I'm liking what I see.

Note:I did this over my wifi at home.

Just got the update notification this morning. It took about 55 min to download and then another 5 to install. Everything is good, now time to explore.

Ok I have been stuck at 76% for about 3 hrs, any ideas? Even after I turn the phone off it still goes right back to where it was before, 76%. It just says "download suspended. Will resume shortly".

Heh. Think so? The media scanning issue has nothing whatsoever to do with the house of bionic. The moto forum is full of people complaining about the issue.

Oh and for those having issues downloading... Now you know why they roll out in batches. Their servers are overloaded and causing the timeouts. There's nothing I can do about it (I've received a few pm's about it). You just have to keep trying.
