OTA update to Marshmallow from KitKat?

This may be a bit of an odd question. I have a Nexus 7 2013 LTE which is still running 4.4.4 KitKat. I have the notification for 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA so I was wondering, will I need to update from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 individually or can I just skip from 4.4.4 to 6.0.1 somehow?

On the 2 Nexus 7 2013 until that we own - yes, I had to do it incrementally - to 5.1.1, then to 6.0, and then to 6.0.1. Both had 5.0 originally.

Or you could look out on the Google site for the latest images and just flash that directly: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota
You'll need to look for the 'razorg' images.
