Just a heads up guys. I stopped by a Verizon store today to check out the Otterbox cases. I really liked the Commuter series look and tried it out. Once I put the phone in the case it was very clear that Otterbox did not mold their case after the GSM version. The phone rattled around in the case and the same thing happened with the Defender series.

Otterbox Facebook page said the other day, when asked, that the case fit both versions. Unfortunately this is not the case. Now Otterbox is backtracking and telling people it does not fit but it isnt on their product page yet.

I hope they make a GSM version.

I just got mine yesterday. I have the GSM verion of the Galaxy Nexus and I can confirm that it fits very well, no issues. I almost canceled my order after reading this post but I called otterbox and they said I had 90 days to try it. I'm glad I got it.

They had the commuter Otterbox for the nexus at your Verizon store? They only had the defender when I went

The difference between the two devices is .53mm. Everyone seems to think there's this huge difference but there really isn't. Every case, screen protector good on both. Only the batteries are completely different. Put this topic to bed
